For those who have Google Chrome, is it better than Mozilla Firefox? Why?

Who chose Mozilla Firefox over Chrome? Why?

I had Firefox but switched to Chrome because it is more intuitive and faster. I give Mozilla credit for being at the forefront of the open source community.

Chrome is WAY faster.

And with an attention span like mine, it's gotta be quick, because I......

....Oooooo, something shiny! :101:

Firefox is slow for the same reason Explorer is slow; It is doing a bunch of operations in the background to keep you from getting hacked.

So is that a vote for or against Firefox?

I have the blazing fast Firefox 4, and I have it loaded down with over 25 extensions for all kinds of things that no other browser can do. I've grown accustomed to doing many things that browsers typically don't do at all - much less do it fast. Even with all of my add-ons, the speed is so fast that pages load instantly unless there's a server problem somewhere. From everything I've read, no other browser is as safe to use as Firefox - not even close. I have compared Firefox to Internet Explorer and there is no race in speed, security, or capabilities. I know very little about Chrome except that I would have to sacrifice 80% of my functions to use it. I thought Firefox 3 was great, but Firefox 4 blows the doors off of everything on the market in my opinion - in speed, functions, and security. I'm spoiled and no longer interested in just speed without additional functions and security. You get it all with Firefox 4.

I'm using explorer, firefox I've had a long love and hate relationship with, and I tried google chrome and it seemed slow to me. I might give Chrome one more shot cause I like the look of the browser.

It all depends on what system you are putting it on. Older systems have a hard time handling some of the add-ons, where new systems don't have that problem. I also have Firefox 4 and have no issue with it, except getting use to the new layout. Go with what you like, Neb. Each browser has it's tweaks and quirks.
