The Bible of the part of jews is the first testament and Jews dont eat pork.

And Jesus said i come not to change the religion but to full fill

So i dont understand this all

Please help me on this matter

You are going to get a lot of differen't responses to that question. We have had numerous debates on this subject, so I will just give you the highlights of what to expect. First, I will give you my reason for believing it is ok to eat pork.

There are three types of laws in the Old Testament. Some are dealing with the office of the Levitical Priesthood. They no longer apply because they were only intended to continue till the cross. Next, there are laws dealing with God's standard of holiness. They still apply, and include things like not stealing, killing, committing adultery, etc. Then there is the third type of laws. They were put in place to show that Israel was a separate people from the idol worshipping gentile nations around them. This would include dietary laws. Why do I believe that? Because in Peter's vision in Acts, we see unclean animals being shown to represent the gentiles, and Peter is told to kill and eat. The meaning of the vision was that the gospel was to be taken to the gentiles as well as the Jews, so the gentiles are no longer unclean. That means the foods once considered unclean are now ok to eat. That is my view.

There is another view that we are now under the New Covenant, and Old Testament dietary laws no longer apply, period.

The third opinion is that Old Testament dietary laws do apply today, and those of us who eat pork are in sin.

You need to seek God for the truth and do as he leads you. If you feel convicted about eating pork, don't do so. If you feel ok about it, I believe you have the freedom to eat any food sold in the market place.

Can tell me where is this written in the Bible please

For Peter's vision, look at Acts 10:1 - Acts 11:18

For the scripture about eating whatever is sold in the market place, 1 Corinthians 10:23-33

I am not sure what you are asking? Are you saying you can't locate the book of Acts in your Bible? :noidea: If that is what you mean, it is right after the book of John in the New Testament. If you mean something else, let me know? :noidea:

From KJV to pork.

OK, let's see . . . are leather-bound Bibles made of pigskin?

:P

Anyway, the real answer is that there is a lot of history between when the Jews began spreading the Gospel to the Gentiles, and the Gentiles took over the leadership of Christianity . . . and a lot changed as former pagans brought in their old philosophies to how they interpreted Scripture, and as governing bodies made the Christianity the State religion, until what we now have is nothing like the 1st century Christians knew.

Here's an article about Peter's vision that pretty informative. God did not give the dietary laws to 'Jews' but to Israel, He didn't give them these food restrictions because animals are bad but because they have specific jobs to do, pigs, clams, shrimp etc are bottom feeders they are the garbage disposals of the earth. That is why God said not to eat them. Now if the earth changed when He returned to heaven and all things are now edible for us then we would see a change in the way pigs, shrimp and the rest eat. The dietary laws have nothing to do with meat offered to idols.

The content of Acts 10 is about Cornelius, he was a believer in Messiah, he was told to send men he sent three men to Peter. Peter had a vision three times and when Peter heard rise up and eat he became upset saying I have never eaten anything 'common' or unclean. God then explains to Peter what God cleansed we must not call common, God was saying that He made all men clean when they come to Him. It was the custom of the Jews not to eat with gentiles they felt they were unclean and common God was telling Peter that is no longer the case, if a gentile comes to faith in God and His Messiah they are now clean.

Certainly there is a huge debate on this and every one must come to their own understandings of what God is teaching us.

shalom,

Mizz

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
