Since the time I am seeing this man, I have always committed the relationship to God, and HE has been my guide through out. By God's grace, I have been happy. Now when I feel we should move ahead and get married, somehow it is not happening (we are still very much in love). I am afraid I am getting weaker and desperate by day. What shall I do???

Every moment, every day I am praying..for some reason I am yet to get the respone or is it that I am blinded and not able to see because I may not like the answer?

Thoughts from my fellow children of God please...

Have you spoken to him on his thoughts on marriage and how long he believes you should continue to date before committing? :emot-hug:

I must ask the same question that candice did, have you talked with him about marriage? If you hadn't, then I say go ahead and talk to him, from the out come of your conversation, I'm sure you will know what your next step might be. Good luck and we will pray for you.

Have you been in this relationship for only a short period of time? Perhaps he may feel its not the right time, or have other reasons. Perhaps Im old fashioned but I feel that it is the man's place to pursue and do the proposing.

You said that you have committed this relationship to the Lord and have been guided by Him...so do'nt take it out of His hands and continue to allow Him to guide you. Pray much and trust Him, He knows what's going on in your heart and what you need. I will also pray for you both. Blessings :)

Thanks for the responses, yes we have often discuss marriage and we both know that we would like to get married to each other. It is just not happening. From the time we met, we decided that we will try all we can with God's guidance to make this materialise..... We are in different cities, Iam not able to move as am not getting the right kind of job in the city where he live.

I know waiting for God's gentle guidance is all I can do...please pray that I can endure this wait. I just want to get married now as we have been together for 4 years now and I feel he still want to prolong the relationship.

I really feel I need help and strenthen my belive and hope in Jesus. Also, Iam afraid this relationship may not work..... Please Lord help me.

This bring to mind one of my favorite pieces of scripture.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

If we follow this simple teaching, we will find the patience we need. All things are done in His time if you seek His guidance. Trying to push ahead of the Lord is a dangerous place to be in. It is our worldly desire to do so and we all need to put away the old person and allow Him to move instead.

pawlly, we serve a mighty God to whom nothing is impossible, if it is His will that you get a job in the city where your man is, He is able to make that happen. Four years is a long time to wait in these circumstances, but remember God's timing is always perfect.

Continue to pray seeking His will in this matter...He will never let you down..just trust. Blessings :emot-hug:

There are so many time when we want something and just know it is right and has to be God's will and then we proceed to go about and make it happen only to find that if we had waited for His timing things would have turned out better than we could have imagined. There are time when we are not ready for what God has planned for us and want us to wait and trust in Him or since He knows the future He knows that is not for our best. I would say wait on God. Patience is not one of my strong suits but that may be what God wants for you. Trust Him.

I can see the Lord's provision,

All He granted yesterday,

But can I trust Him for

Tomorrow, to open up my way ?

A way I cannot see or even

Know what lies ahead ?

But, Holy One I trust You -

In Your Word I've daily read

"Let not your heart be troubled,

Nor let it be afraid."

Your Word has stood the test,

And on it's promises I rest.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
