Glenn Beck Announces Jerusalem Rally

Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck announced plans for a rally in Jerusalem in August, which he's calling "Restore Courage."

The Jerusalem rally will take place one year after Beck organized a rally in Washington, D.C., called "Restoring Honor," which drew an estimated 500,000 people.

"Last summer, we set out to restore honor in Washington, D.C. This summer, it's time to restore courage," he said. "It is time for us to courageously stand with Israel."

Beck made the announcement on his radio show on Monday, warning that Jerusalem, the "center or our faith," is in danger.

"They are going to attack the center of our faith, our common faith, and that is Jerusalem. And it won't be with bullets or bombs. It will be with a two-state solution that cuts off Jerusalem, the Old City, to the rest of the world," he said.

I heard this and waited for the 'I knew he was the anti-christ from the beginning' crowd to storm FB and other sites! This one I think is wrong, I love that people want to get together to bring about a recognition of Israel, uplift it in the eyes of the world, I just don't think this is right. God did not allow the bringing together of all the religious observances on His holy place, I am thinking we might actually be hearing/seeing? the trumpet blast this Yom Teruah and the count to His coming.

I don't know if this is a calling from God or another one of his ideas? Just last week I watched one of his shows where he sits down with an audience. They discussed one of Glens ideas and how people were using it in their lives. I can't remember exactly what the idea was, but it was a Christian idea from scripture, but all the credit was given to Glen, non to the Lord. I am concerned about who is being lifted up through these gatherings.

God will use what He needs to use, no matter who does what.

I saw that show, he was asking that everyone do something good for others, basically he was saying we all should be doing good works and 'we' 'I' can do anything. I kept yelling at the tv saying its only through God but he just didn't hear me!

Honestly I want it to be from God, the way it happened was 'coincidental' the mayor of Jerusalem was on the return flight and it bloomed from there. The idea of bringing all faiths together in Jerusalem, to me smacks of interfaith mingling, that kinda thing. And to do that in Jerusalem to boot, can't wait to see where the rally is going to be. The rally is to restore courage I think, I don't think anyone in Israel needs one to do that they are the most courages people in the world in my eyes. I find the timing interesting this year, with the possiblity of a UN resolution of a palestinian state or just having them declare a state in Sept., we have the comet that happens at the end of the Sept. as well as the start of the feast of Trumpets, I find it all to coincidental. And yes your right, God could and will use even Becks rally to further His plans.

... Thank you, that is the one I saw! How he sat in that chair, trying to be humble in his demeanor and posture made me dislike his message all the more. Though I agree with the Christian message, I refuse to pat him on the back for this idea.

I have not looked into this new gathering in Israel, so I can't comment on it at the present time. IF it is to unite all religions, then he is a top runner promoting the Emergent Church. He needs to be watched very carefully. What he has been promoting will lead the young away from Christ and they will see Beck as a Christian leader, not knowing enough about His word.

Mr. Beck has recently formed a friendship and alliance with John Hagee, that's where this is coming from.

I pray the Lord uses it to bring Mr. Beck out of Mormonism.

Beck has been stating that we need to stand with Israel because he is ahead of the curve that he see's coming this fall. He has been asking people to take a stand now prior to having the make the decision for or against Israel when our economy fails. He believes that most folks will sell out Israel when the U.S. and the world sells them out as the worlds economy collapses.

Oddly, I agree with him. Although his Mormonism is glaring. He has stated that most Christians are asleep. Even those that attend Church weekly and that what is coming will wake them up. I agree with this as well.

What's coming is the rising of the Composite Worldwide Beast made up of a loose confederation based on mutual monetary need that will make Imperial Rome look like a sissy. Some folks believe that we are that Beast. This is not true and neither do we fit the profile. We are not revised Rome.

Be careful how much of Beck you take hold of. He may be able to see what is written in scripture, but I would not trust him.

Beck is a supporter of Israel and that tells me that there is hope for him, yet. I pray the scales come off his eyes.

Just concerned, my friend ... just concerned. Beck is becoming not only an icon about political unrest, but an icon at trying to unite all religions. Beck also knows how to work a crowd, direct thought and twist the truth, scriptural, that is. He is, in a way, becoming some kind of religious leader to some, and I see this number growing.
