DREAMS and their meanings

Wow. I don't know what to think.

Is this guy a Christian? How much do you know about him? Maybe it was some kind of warning? perhaps?

Artsylady, the guy in the dream was a guy I used to date before I got married. As far as knowing who his friend was, that was vague and not clear to me at all.

This guy however, never tried to force anything on me and I haven't seen him since I started dating my husband. He did profess to be a Christian.

God bless,

Kat

I know I've seen a thread posted here before about dreams, however I searched for it and couldn't find it.

I believe that dreams can have meanings and that God can reveal things to us in our dreams. I don't necessarily believe that every dream is from God, but I find when I pray especially hard to the Lord before I go to sleep, that I have a vivid dream.  I don't usually remember my dreams, but the last two times that I have spent time praying and seeking God for answers before I went to sleep, I had a specific dream that I did remember and this happened to me again lastnight.

I am wondering about the dream I had lastnight, whether it was from God or not and if it was, what it might have meant.

Never before in my life have I ever been sexually violated, but I dreamed that someone I knew (a guy) and a friend of his raped me.  I was left badly bruised and hurt. After I was raped, I was scared and moved somewhere else, but he still managed to find me again.  He kept coming around and finding me no matter where I went with intentions in mind to rape me again, but I had protection and so he was unable to hurt me. My husband was not in this dream.

What does it mean, if anything, when you dream you have been raped?

Could that dream have been from God?

God bless,

Kat

Hello Kitkat!

Just want to start out by saying that those Signatures that you create are FANTASTIC. When dreams are from the Lord they are usually either prophetic and Spiritual and are usually expressed by symbolism. This could signify that the man that you know will either try to lure you into having sexual intercourse with Him or either He will try and take your faith away from you such as him FORCING his BELIEFS upon you that will go against your very RELATIONSHIP with the LORD. Either way yiour faithfulness will prevail! Try and praying to the Lord and ask Him for Revelation or interpretation of the Dream and it will come if it is from Him!

God Bless! :il:

Thankyou Omega. :P The symbolism of it was what I was mostly concerned about.

I felt that if the Lord was revealing something to me in this dream, that more than likely it was, that in some way, I might be being violated or that it could be a warning from God that someone may try to violate me in some way. Not necessarily in a sexual manner though. Thankyou for your input on this.

God bless,

Kat

I've had many dreams like this before, except I call them nightmares :P

Personally, I find it hard to believe God would cause me fear or confusion. I've also been taught that things from God always bring glory to Him. Therefore, my opinion is that this would not be something from God, but rather the enemy trying to steal your peace by causing you anxiety or fear. Just my thoughts.

It is possible that the dream was from the enemy, but at the same time, sometimes God shows us things in dreams to serve as a warning and with that being so, the dreams are not necessarily pleasant dreams.

The last dream I had that I questioned whether it was from God or not, involved a cougar in my dream and I asked the Lord to show me what the dream meant if it was from him and He didn't reveal it to me right away, but He did reveal to me later on that it was from Him and what it meant.

Of course, a dream can be cause by a late night snack too.

I'm going to ask God to show me whether it came from Him or not and if so, what it meant.

God bless,

Kat

Great article artsylady. Thanks for posting it.

You had ask about the second person/guy in the dream and what part he played in it. That wasn't something that was clear to me. It was very vague and whoever it was blurred out in my dream, so I couldn't tell who it was. I just knew that this person helped the other guy rape me.

I feel like this dream really means something, so I'm going to pray hard about it.

I don't usually feel impressed to pray about a dream, unless God shows me I should be concerned about what it means.

I feel that God is telling me to pray about this dream and what it means.

God bless,

Kat

I have learned much about dreams from the Lord. There are many times he has given me prophetic dreams but I also used to have very weird dreams. So I started to pray this way. Confusion is not from the Lord. So I pray that if I have a dream that is just filled with confusion then I realize it's source is not from God. But we can have dreams that are very vivid and just not know the meaning....yet. Pray over this dream and ask yourself was it all blury so to say and just confusing, or was it very clear and you remember details.

Also, if the Lord is warning you of something you have to make sure and recognize it may not be this guy. It may be a spirit. The enemy comes to steel, kill and destroy. Obviously this mans intent was to steel something and any time you see that you know who is actually behind it, satan. Then the word says I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power and of sound mind. Did you wake up fearful? When the Lord warns me of something I don't get fearful but serious which then is when I operate in the power He has given me. When the Lord reveals a truth it does not follow with fear.

Also, some times if it is a prophetic dream His intent is to reveal it to you. I have received the interpertation to a dream sometimes a week or two later. I have nearly forgotten the dream and then the Lord statrs to talk to me about it and what its meaning is. So I believe this is what you have to ask yourself because no one can answer this for you. What was in your spirit after the dream? What fruit was left behind? Was it fear? Or was it a sense of direction to where you may be concerned but confident. Does this help any?? I hope I am making sense.

Naomi, I didn't wake up fearful about the dream, but I did wake up concerned about what it meant.

I think the only reason I was confused at all about the dream, is because I have never worried about rape before or been threatened by it in any way, so I thought for me to have a dream about being raped was odd.

I was thinking too the same thing that you said. That the fact that the guy in the dream wasn't of any particular meaning, but that it could be the Lord showing me that Satan in some way, was trying to rob me of something in my life. So if that is so, I need to fight this in the spiritual realm.

I'm praying that the Lord will give me insight as to what it means. I know that fear comes from Satan and God is not the author of confusion, but Satan is and it could be that the dream came from the enemy just to try to scare me.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

God bless you,

Kat

O my dear, your dream has very important spiritual significance. I am not going into details, cause the thread will be removed again. But take my advice. Involve your self in spiritual warfare the best way you know how. And break and renounce any and all evil covenants and agreements (thru dreams, spoken words or did) both known and unknown, conscious and unconscious. God aloud this dream for reason, ask Him to show you what to do step by step, in order to remove the grounds from the enemy, and to give you wisdom and understanding to receive what He is going to reveal to you. God bless you.

If we enjoy bad food combining, have too much on the mind, or fail to put away our anger, we have excessive dreams.

In a word, in Act 2, referencing Joel: if you detail the words, we are being told there will be dreamers of dreams... That doesn't sound like the Lord has given them, does it? So, we must realizer that only a very very few ever had dreams from the Lord, and when we place our dreams as an important or meaningful event, we will waste away, and only our bones; ie. death, will be seen. This is a spiritual death. ref Job

Now, one may, if it be God's Will, have privy to a communmication, but the days of God speaking to us in dreams are long gone. In fact, God uses His messengers, called angels. When one has an encounter with an angel who makes himself known, it causes death. All the prophets fell dead and were revived, were told to stand back up and not worship them.

One reason I say this is due to the fact that God came in the flesh, and was rejected, poured forth His Spirit and again rejected. He did this with the Gentiles [ethnos in the Greek] to make them jealous and return to Him. At the present time we have 2 options. Either let the HS move in our lives, or satan's spirit, it is our choice. There are 2 masters, but we can only serve one of them.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

It is written, flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven, and result is that no man can see God and live. Why? Because we must lose our flesh and put on that transfigured body.

I do think that the HS may give a strong word of warning in an immeadiate moment of danger, but, as strong as that may be, it is almost subconscious. If God, or and angel speaks, we fall as Daniel did, as if we are dead. Daniel thought he fell as dead. If we fall as dead, then how would we be able to respond to the warning?

There is nothing stating we shall be reveiled to, except by the Word of God in His letter to us, The Bible.

Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

My perspective is one of God not allowing our weakness to be consumed by a dream, as the dream will become more important, and hoped for more than anything. Our minds are so wrong, that it is easy for us to place import on things and happening rather than God. Thus, God doesn't even put us in that position. God has a select few, and these know God so well, God Himself is the import and nothing, no matter what, could alter the knowledge and outcome of contact.

We, simply are too easily influenced by what we may see or hear. God isn't going to have us risk our eternal salvation by showing us something we cannot handle.

I mean, could you really walk into a furnace that is so hot it is killing the people that are stoking it? Look at how many people die because their "faith" doesn't allow them the common sense to go to the doctor. Does any of us really have that much confidence in ourselves that we know God will deliver us in the here and now? Those days are over for all but the very elect.

You could be one of them, but then, you wouldn't be asking a question like this if you knew God in the way the prophets did, and the very elect would not seek an answer from a person, as God would have made it known.

Don't be discouraged, nor dishearten, for it is written, none has He [Christ] lost of all that was given Him; as everyone cannot be the 7,000 on the planet at all times, nor the 144,000 sealed. God has made a way for each of His children to be able to inherit His Kingdom thru adoption, no matter what we must suffer in the flesh. Therefore we are admonished to be longsuffering, even as He is longsuffering.

Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

1Ki 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Isa 1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

This message is only pertenate "if" what we ask and think is aligned with God's Will. Otherwise, what we ask and think is vanity.

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Many people have sufered terribly as the result of ignorance. The dreams are windows in the spiritual realm. The enemy have raped in spiritual realm already. It might result in phisical if not prevented. The grounds need to be removed. God will dirrect, if we ask.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
