Question on Healing

Willow: I keep thinking about the news headlines too. You know I also wonder if amazing stuff happens here and most of us just don't know how to use the media. I certainly do. If this happens, I'll be calling CNN, Oprah, Fox - the works! Everyone will know. (But then again, I'm such a dreamer - see how I wrestle here?)

No more wrestling. Heavy duty prayer and fasting for WHATEVER God wants to do.

I have been trying to get him to come on the boards. He has trouble signing on. If you see him, his name is Firebug. (What a sense of humor, eh?)

the ten lepars,

9 of them were healed, cured and went their way to see the priest....

1 was made whole......

my thoughts on this is that this man had already lost body parts due to leprasie and by turning back to give thanks, Christ restored his body..... Luke 17: "And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

Leprasie is a nasty desease, body parts die, fingers die, and when body parts die, they eventually fall off.... it is a highly infections, contagious desease, and when people had it and were walking down the street, they were to identify themselves as lepers, so that others would know to steer away from them.....

now, here are 10 lepers.... they see Jesus, and know who He is.... they call out to Him...... Jesus has compassion for them, and approaches them.... and then heals them..... as they turn and depart, they are heading to see the priest, one looks down and notices that he no longer has the dreaded desease.... he turns back to give thanks, to just let Jesus know how much he appreciates the healing..... Jesus tells him to go on his way, that he has BEEN MADE WHOLE...

if you want to see what a hand may look like ( not exact ), you can squeeze the wrist really tight, and then work the hand so that the blood is removed from the hand and nothing is entering into the hand.... this takes about a minute, less time if you have some one that can help you..... then compare the hand with the other, the one that has been restricted will take on a grayish whitish look and the other will look pink or red in comparison..... the skin of a leper may look as this, or splotched....

in Iceland, there was a leper colony, and they currently have a museum in honor, in remeberance of those that were sent to the colony.....the museum has body parts in it, fingers, toes, and some other parts that were removed to try and slow or stop the spread of it to another part of the body....

there was a missionary, that was spending his life ministering in a leper colony, and he had compassion for the people on this island. He loved these people, and then one day, he woke up, and well, he spilled coffee, and when he looked down to see where he had spilled it, he had spilled it on himself, and did not feel it......

that day, instead of being some one on the outside careing for these people, he became one of them. and he stayed with them for the remainder of his life....he lost his leg in this process....

what was said above about third world countries, is true.....

we may ask why it does not happen in the USA or other western countries.....

well, we have our focus on other things.... we rely on what man has to say what can and can not be done..... man can do a skin graft, God can replace the skin with new skin..... man can set the bones, God can make them like new as if never broken ( been done many times, there have been xrays done and the bone was in several pieces, needing surgery, and then prior to surgury, another set taken and no breaks....

when we want the healing so much that God is the only one that can do it and God is the total focus of our lives, when everything we want is nothing more then God, it is amazing what can happen.....

Artsy, I believe that God has and will replace parts of the body that have been lost, for what ever reason....

anything, any circumstanse, any trial, can be used to glorify God......

God can heal, mend all things......

think about a broken heart, that hurts worse then any broken bone, and takes sometimes years and years to start healing.... God can heal it.... God can mend it again..... we ask God to make our hearts new, mend them and shape them.... like in the song, create in me a new heart.......

how many times have we heard testimony of healings? lots.....

I am sure that the people of Jesus' home town, had heard of his works, of the healings that were taking place thru-out the land...... shoot, if they didnt, they was deaf, cause even people in Ireland knew of Jesus while he was on this earth and even of the crucifixion..... but how effective was Jesus in His own home town?

not very effective at all, for even a prophet will be without honor in his own home ....

a lady ( about 100 years ago, seems like a long time for some ) went from place to place looking for healing, looking for a cure for her eyesight..... and she finally got it, from God..... a man was used for this but God sent it, and that was in the begining of a series of revivals that took place in the USA, from Galena Ks, to Topeka Ks, to Isusu street (sp) and even in Brownsville..... there are more revivals going on and people are being healed......

we see, the physical feet being gone as an issue, we see the physical skin being deformed as an issue...... we see the eyes as being an issue, or the tongue or ears, hair..... we see everything on the outside as being an issue.... when we need to be looking on the inside for the healing.... we need our soul power washed, we need our hearts shaped, we need our minds transformed..... we need our entire being made new......

some of the healings we will recieve will be when we go home..... the physical body is not the issue, it is a shell, a convienience to allow us to get around on this earth, and it is very restrictive... even for one that is in "perfect health and fitness" it is so limited.....

this body is only a temporary home for our souls.... the next body, the new body, will not have the limitations on it this body has......

I wake up in the morning, and I have pain, I praise the Lord, for this day that I have pain, i am still alive on this earth and have things to do for the Lord......

well, i have rambled....again.....

while tying this, I have been praying for your friend Joe, and will remember him this day....

ps: sis, there are bunches out there that like the headlines, they will do anything to improve the public opinion of them and boost their ratings.... becareful who you contact..... some are not of God and will try and tear down every thing God is doing.......

God has a perfect plan for Joe, honestly, God has important work for him...

Thank you Mike. Thank you for your prayers too. I do hope God heals him and that He'll be glorified. I want this really badly. It's not a selfish thing on my part to want the healing. The docs say he could be close to dying now. The details are not pretty so I won't go into it, but a blood infection is imminent. In any case, I know if Joe dies, he'll be in a better place. I'm not selfish and want him to stay and be healed because of me. I want God to be glorified. That's really the main reason I want to see this healing. I really hope it happens. I'll just keep praying.

Not much out there except copies of a book (I think there were at least two written) Ironically, the book's title is "The Medical Miracle of Joe Philion", as in the first place, it was a miracle that he ever lived. I'm sure there were many prayers for him way back then. Who knows what God wants to do? Let's send up the prayers in a major way once again.

I will be fervently praying for your friend and that God's will be done. I know that He can heal him, but I don't know when or even if He will decide to do so. Whatever be His will. :prayer

we all have to remember too, that God uses us all for His Glory......

a young lady of 9 years, had a rare form of lukemia, and well, the colbolt and chemo was not doing anything for her but making her sick......

her parents wanted to stop the treatments, but the little girl said no, cause God was not done with the doctors yet....

she also claimed that God heals all His Children..... some now, some later and all will receive their healing when they go home.....

out of the mouths of babes..... This young lady was not afraid of going home, she was looking forward to it, and her parents received strength from this young ladies faith...... what an awesome thing....

God is using Joe for things that will Glorify Him......

there are these two farmers, one is a Christian, strong in the faith...... the other an atheist......

one june day, there came a terrible thunderstorm and the hail from it litterally destroyed the Christian farmers crop....... the Atheists crop was untouched....

The atheist was jumping up and down in triumph and shouting to the Christian farmer as he was inspecting his field..... Look what your God did to you.... and you thing your God is so wonderful.......

the Christian farmer turned and smiled and said yea, look at my field, the Power of God is Awesome indeed, but you have to remember, God doesnt settle the accounts in June...... I will stay faithful to My God, for He is Faithful to me....
