But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

the Lord had Peter write that we are to grow in grace

are you sure Jesus blood covers the sin we commit now or do it covers the sins of the past after we had accepted his as Lord and sviour?

Paul speaks of the sins that are past

Romans 3

24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Jesus died for the sin of mankind past present and future. But, it does not mean that as soon as we realize that we have sinned we do not ask for forgiveness. We sin daily - though we may not even recall that we have sinned - and therefore should ask God to forgive us daily - just as Jesus taught us to pray - daily - the Lord's Prayer - and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. The debt for sin that we could not pay has been paid on the cross for us.

How do I lve God and my neighbour?

how?

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:3-4

in Genesis 6

out of a whole earth only one man was worthy of saving and by the mercy of God let the other 7 come along

Genesis 6

1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

how hard or easy is it to become saved?

Shem, Noah's oldest son lived until Jacob was 50 years old and i suspect that he might have been Melchizadec. He was also in line from Noah to Jesus. Another thing about him is that he lived for 100 years with Methuselah, who was alive before Adam died. So, I suspect that he, at least, along with his father Noah be of the Lord.

( Quick aside....I don't believe Melchizedek was Shem, that is a Jewish myth that is not based on Scripture but on conjecture.)

Yes, I'm sure. God has adopted me into his family and he is not going to throw me out. He loves me, so much in fact that he sacrificed his only son so I could be adopted, and I love him. There is nothing more to be said.

Jesus said

Proverbs 8:17

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

1 John 5:3

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

and

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

do you keep his commandments for him to love you?

lets look at the verse you quoted

who is it that God love in this world?

John 3

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

are you sure?

shem is with a mother and father

it is a myth, where it came from I don't know?

2 Peter 3:18

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

the Lord had Peter write that we are to grow in grace

is grace something we are sure of now or do we have to grow into it?

The NT is somewhat like the English language in all its variants.

Again, grace means several things:

1) first and foremost, it is God's unmerited favor,

2) by it we are born again, believe and are saved from his wrath on our sin

3) it is also the effect of grace, in the spiritual state of grace (2Pe 3:18) and in deeds of grace (1Co 16:3), and many more.

Hope this helps.

Cordially,

Eleanor

according to the bible it is your first and fore most answer

Noah kept God's laws and he was under grace

tell me why did Jesus have to find GRACE in this man of God?

think about it a moment the teching of today is that we are under grace and not the law, but this man of God was under the law and the Lord found grce in him.

not only did Noah have grace in him He was just and perfect 9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

how hard or easy is it to become saved?

Well, according to Jesus, it's as hard or easy as believing in him (Jn 3:16).

it should be easy because John 3:16 speak on these people in Genesis 6

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned:(noah) but he that believeth not is condemned ( the people of the world that was destroyed by a flood) already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
