Well...let's see if 'salvation' works!

It was salvation that removed the curse of the law? Salvation is the END result. Those found worthy will be SAVED from going to the lake of fire...thus receiving eternal life with the Lord.

I have already showed you your error here

2 Cor 6:1-2

6 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says:

"In an acceptable time I have heard you,

And in the day of salvation I have helped you."

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

NKJV

All of Rom 7 shows us salvation apart from works!

You say found worthy- Where are they that are worthy of Christ The Perfect Being of eternity?????

If you do not put on His perfection over your own self you will perish!

If you are expecting to go before God with your own merit of sinlessness- I remind you you will be going before Him

calling Him a liar-

1 John 1:8-10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

NKJV

this is a reality right up to deaths door! For that is supported by this

1 Cor 5:5

5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

NKJV

The Spirit is teaching us that this one in gross sin should be turned out to sinners that will destroy the body life, yet His Spirit will be saved! Why? because he believed and asked Jesus to save Him from his sins... I give personal witness to the truth of this interpretation of Scripture for my life had this in it yet by His grace I saw my error by the sin itself and returned as did the prodigal son!

Thus fulfilling these verses-

Rom 8:37-39

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NKJV

John 10:27-30

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one."

NKJV

It was salvation that removed man's sin? No.....how can something that we receive in the end remove sin NOW?

You are mistaking the understanding that the devil and his children are able to deceive us and make us think they are family when they will never be! Hence the reality is seen in this

1 John 2:19

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

NKJV

God simply teaches us that faith in Him 'IS' the now of our salvation and it will be kept by Him eternally, satan wants us to doubt-> for he thinks, as you, it is one of works for that is how he fell by the abundance of his trade. Look at me, look what I am, wow I am as good as God!!! He utilized his own resource instead of God's resources that are endless. It would be like this you will look into the Eyes of The One Who could Love no matter what! What exactly can be added to this?

It was salvation that took away the curse of Adam? No......God's word does not tell us it was salvation that removed the curse....God's tells us it was grace!

once again you are against Scripture

1 Cor 15:45-49

45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

NKJV

John 1:29-31

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.'

NKJV

Grace was something that was given! Salvation is something we will receive if and when we overcome!

already addressed above as a perversion of Scripture! I warn you sir before this audience that if you add Christ plus anything

to your salvation you will perish as these

Matt 7:21-23

21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

NKJV

Why do you think Christ told us of this event that happens before Him at the entrance into the sheep pen? It is so that you would see

that you, a sinner, has no resource to Righteousness to perform Righteous acts acceptable to The Father! New Birth is just that totally New and not of this world but of the one that is coming! The works that we do now in that new birth are His done through us by the power of the Holy Spirit! I will pray that your eyes be opened and you see the error of placing faith in anything other than Christ Himself!

Acts 4:10-12

10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

NKJV

Your version is your name should be added to this verse for the works that you have done proving your are worthy of salvation... a Christ plus kind of faith that is found no where in Scripture but in your own mind! Love, Steven

Eccl12v13, you are like someone who is need of crossing a ravine and is faced with 2 bridges, one new and secure and one old but familiar with missing boards but one which you have taken your whole life. You are warned that the storm is coming and the old bridge is in danger of falling and that you need to use the new bridge but you in your stubbornness are unwilling to see the folly of your choice and choose the old comfortable bridge to your peril.

Wise people have tried to show you the error of your thinking but you argue for argument's sake and choose not to see the simplicity of the message. Perhaps you are who Jesus was speak of when He said eyes they have but 'will not' see - ears they have but 'will not' hear. (wording changed by me). How sad.

Grace was something that was given! Salvation is something we will receive if and when we overcome!

You have already replied to these. How about the following;

There is only ONE thing that can give man remission of his sins! There is only ONE thing that can remove the curse that was put upon ALL of mankind by Adam! There is only ONE thing that can justify man and ALLow him the chance at eternal life! And there is only ONE thing that can be considered GRACE, as in the grace that Jesus gave to all of mankind; and it was NOT salvation!

Matt.26

[28] For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Heb.9

[22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

BLOOD is the ONLY thing that can remove the curse of the law!

Now let's read how Jesus blood IS the grace that He gave.....

Rom.3

[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

So man is JUSTIFIED by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation that did it!

Rom.5

[9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

[10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So man is SAVED by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation that did it!

Eph.1

[7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

So man is REDEEMED by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation! It was His BLOOD...which was the grace He bestowed upon us!

Col.1

[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

So man's SINS are forgiven by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation!

Salvation did not redeem, justify, or forgave sin or removed the curse of sin!

Only the blood of the lamb could do that! And now that Jesus has shed His blood for our justification and redemption.....do we continue to sin?

So man is SAVED by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation that did it!

Everyone knows that salvation is by the blood of Jesus and no one is saying otherwise.

So man's SINS are forgiven by the blood of Jesus! It was not salvation!

That is what salvation means.

You seem to think that salvation is a noun. It's not. It's a verb.

The blood of Jesus is a noun.

We are saved by Jesus' death on the cross.

We are saved by His shed blood.

We are saved by grace through faith not by works.

We are saved and it is the gift of God.

These are all Biblically established concepts and none of them are mutually exclusive.

You're ignoring what the Bible says in favour of what you figure in your imagination.

Okay Here is one example.

Gal 6

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Now in proper context of the rest of the verse.

New King James Version (NKJV)

Galatians 6

Bear and Share the Burdens

1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.

Be Generous and Do Good

6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Glory Only in the Cross

11 See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand! 12 As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

Blessing and a Plea

16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

17 From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

You see in context, this verse is not about salvation by works, but about not boasting in who you are, and that your works, will show where your heart is. What you sow you shall reap that is principle that speaks to faith. You see sowing to the spirit, would be faith, would it not? How do you so to the spirit? You see this is a call to good deed, however at the end of the chapter, Paul again reiterates that only the cross matters.

You see another part of the context is this, you must take all of the book in. So lets look at Galatians chapter 3. The full thing.

Galatians 3

Justification by Faith

1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?

5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

The Law Brings a Curse

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The Changeless Promise

15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,”who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Purpose of the Law

19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Sons and Heirs

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The bold big letters spell it out. Same author that you claim speaks that works are needed for salvation.

We are not justified by works but by faith.

We are not justified by faith alone or works alone.

Your longer quote in no way changes the meaning of these words:

A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

I addressed that. Again you are taking things out of context. Context is important especially when it comes to salvation. So your stating that Christianity is just like every other religion, you have to work for it?

We are not justified by faith alone or works alone.

Cheseterton, look at Galatians "no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." (Galatians 3:11).

Do you see how the passage qualifies "justified before God"?

That's because if you just use the word justified on its own it's not clear who or what is being justified and to what end. It has to be qualified either directly or by the context.

As far as justifed for salvation we know that such is done wholly apart from works:

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9)

"to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness" (Romans 4:5).

Your claim that the sowing and reaping are not related to eternal life is contradicted by Paul's words.

The one who SOWS to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Nothing in the rest of the passage contradicts or changes these words.

Please actually answer the question I asked.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
