Domitian is the reincarnation of the evil that was in Nero and he resurrected the persecution against the Christians. In Revelation 12:3 it is written that "on the ten horns are seven diadems (kingdoms-provinces)," but in chapter 13, "on the ten horns are ten diadems." Why the change? Because two of Romes provinces split in two and acquired a third, thereby making ten diadems. Revelation is a merging of two separate apocalyptic letters. I believe he told us that everyone would see him coming in the clouds..... I don't remember reading anyone who has seen Jesus coming in the clouds. much less everyone. Nothing. You have taken the topic off course. And Marv, I use Scripture sometimes, and I use history to point out what Scripture has been fulfilled. Both are valid. Just because YOU don't believe it doesn't mean it isn't so. Please try and recall that. And I am not a 'perterist' either. I'm a historic PARTIAL preterist. Why don't you take the time to learn the difference between full and partial preterism before you go throw stones? And my hope is in the coming of Christ, NOT in preterism, full or partial. Now compare with: Daniel 9:24 - Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city. This is an empty quote/statement void of necessary information as was the statement above. There is no action to it. The quote becomes meaningless without some action. But now if one adds the word "to" to the end of the quote, something is now expected, action can now be put to the quote. Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city TO 1. finish transgression, 2. put an end to sin. 3. atone for wickedness, 4. bring in everlasting righteousness, 5. seal up vision and prophecy, 6. anoint the most holy. Now v. 25 gives the beginning date; from the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. Now the "Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city" becomes complete. A start time is given, and an action plan is given. Both are needed to make this quote come to life. So this whole prophecy is for "your people" and "your holy city" TO...... No replacement theology can be made. One cannot say Christ is the "your people", since "your people was also given in v. 15 - O Lord are God, who brought "your people" out of Egypt.
