I just gotta vent a little. I wasn't sure where to post it, so I hope this is okay.

Tomorrow is payday for us. I know, weird day for paychecks. lol Anyway, we have been struggling financially for about a month. Work was just in a slump. Well, now the slump is over, and we are needing to play the catch-up game. We are still behind on some things and we really need to get caught up asap. My children't birthdays are coming up-one in Oct, in Nov., and in Dec, as well as Christmas. Well, hubby just called and informed me that he stopped at Cabella's and bought himself a pair of $50.00 boots for hunting season. ARGH! I mean, c'mon, now I am going to have to short myself groceries again. I was so looking forward to being able to actually buy some real food instead of eating from the bottom of the freezer. Well, God will provide! I gotta keep on looking up!

I'm sorry about the vent. I feel better already, just writing it out. It seems so petty now. lol There are so many people who are worse off than we are. I am so thankful for what we have. Praise God! Thank you for letting me gripe! :)

Sometimes we need to vent. I've had my days when I just wanted to scream. We're only humans. But by the grace of God it doesn't last long.

God Bless You

Well, I'll have to say you've got a good reason to vent. :) I would be pretty upset too if Senerhu just went out and bought something we couldn't afford, especially without telling me ahead of time. The fact that you needed the money so bad for groceries is a good enough reason to vent. To me, that just isn't right at all.

Like someone else said, sometimes it just helps to vent.

God bless,

Kat

Yeah, especially when he could have bought a cool new computer game instead of some crummy ol' boots! :)

JK- These times will pass, o3b.

Rest in the Lord.

When it comes to hunting season men get really weird...

I'm just glad that my husband doesn't leave home for an entire week like many husbands around here in Texas.

If you think that situation is bad....well...just read the pm I sent you. LOL.

I think we may be living the same life, lol! you have 3 kids, I have 3 kids......you are in a slump or playing catch-up, we are playing catch up(due to an unexpected $600 job on our van).....your hubby spends $50 on what we (as women, lol) feel is silly (yeah, like computer games, or a landscaping job for the front of the house when we're needing to pay the electricity bill), my hubby has done both examples in the ().

I totally understand your vent! But seriously, I have learned, as you said, that God will provide. Your job is to share your feelings with your husband, but in a loving way not an accusing way. And remain faithful to what God has asked of you and He will provide! Hope things get better soon!

Just something you might want to consider. Read my thread -- Understanding the Enemy!

I think you'll understand why I suggested it when you read it.

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

At first when I was reading such a thing I thought that you had married my wife's husband! I recognise that "Argh!" sound, I learned over the years how to make my wife make that sound.

Then I read this one!

I'm just glad that my husband doesn't leave home for an entire week like many husbands around here in Texas.

So you are the one that has the last remaining holdout to hunting season week in Texas, huh?

Husbands, we can be something else, huh? That's why the Lord decided we needed some help way back when.

Wow, husbands everywhere are the same, lol.

You have a good reason to vent. We all need to vent sometimes. I find myself having to tell my DH, WHY I'm upset, or stressed. He listens to me when I say we can't afford something right now, but the fact that he even suggests buying a new computer game, or (fill in the blank), stresses me out. He grew up in a home where that was the norm, unfortunately. If MY family had bills to pay, we NEVER bought anything we didn't need without getting the bills out of the way first.. his family aren't like that.. they are more likely to go buy something for fun, or spend a bunch for everyone to go out to eat and to the movies than pay their bills first, and I'm having to retrain my husband. He's been wonderful though, and I'm thankful for that. Wow.. my own post has turned into a "vent". Sorry to hijack your thread! Hope you feel better after venting as well

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
