Hey Worthy family smile.gif

Yep its been a while since ive been able to post, blush.gif however i really do learn a lot from the christians here at worthy and when i get time i like to post. cool.gif Here is the question that has got a lot of mixed views and would like to hear from you all.

Do yo as a Christian feel that it is right to vote for a mormon as our leader? why or why not

I do not and here is why? to vote for someone who believes that satan and Jesus are brothers, i find that very offencive and place that sort of belief on the same level as voting for someone who thinks killing unborn babies is ok. Not that mormons are bad people and would never treat them any less than any other person, but voting for one as our president, just cant do it.

the fall out of this is that if romney gets the nomination i feel that it will split the base and the president will get 4 more yrs because those of us who feel the way i do will not vote in this election.

i know some will say, not to vote is a vote for the president, i can see that, but i really do not see much difference between romney and the president in terms of there voting history.

what say you?

thanks

e

The thing that is bad, Christians didn't vote for a Mormon for the president, so they allowed a Muslim sympathizer who puts members of the Muslim Brotherhood into his cabinet.  That is the sad part.  Look it up.  See who this president has put in his cabinet, you will be surprised.

If we have a nominee that says he is a Christian and the fruit he bears, shows he is. then, yes we vote for him.  Now in the last election we did not have a true Christian involved.  When you find an individual that stands up for laws that break Gods laws, you have a problem.  Obama was for abortion, Romney was against,  Obama was for gay marriage and said it should be legal in all states.  Again, Romney was against the gay life style all together.  I know the Mormon beliefs is a false religion, but one of these guys would end up president.  If you are a Christian you can't say I'm not going to vote.  That is a cop out.  This could give The one you didn't want to win one more total amount to win and that is probably what happened  the last election.

While I would consider voting for a nominee who is a true Christian, in all honesty they need to know what the they are doing. I am a Christian, but I hardly think I am qualified to be President of the United States. But tell me, just how would you know that a true Christian is running for President? Would it be because they are not pro- choice? Would it be because they are against gay marriage? I know of many non-Christians who are not pro- choice and many non-Christians who are against gay marriage. Politicians tell us what we want to hear. If they think that it is worth to them to get the "Christian" vote, they will spout what the "Christians" expects them to spout in order to get their vote.

I want to see what they have done for humanity. Have they cared for the poor and the sick. Have they given of their time to help those in need?

Is that the only reason a christian should vote? What if they didn't care who won?

If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about how things are run. I vote so I can complain!

These people work for me, why are they not doing what I tell them? :happyhappy:

Is that why people vote? So they can complain? Every time I've brought up the fact that I don't vote, the very first thing that is said to me is, "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain". I find that odd.

It's why I vote. I don't know why other people vote. You will have to ask them. But also for me because I am a woman. Women fought long and hard for the right to vote. And I feel it is a slap in the face to those women who fought for my right to vote if I don't vote.  So anyway, That's how I feel about the matter.

I do not believe we should vote for a Mormon as our President. He or she will be the leader of our Country. The mormon religion is a cult. They do not believe in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. If I am confronted with two Presidents who compromise my Faith and Jesus Christ I will not vote.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
