well i guess i somehow thought you wanted to write about God... i must have misunderstood what you wrote in your first post.

BUT.. that doesn't change that this is the best time in history to get published and read! i don't really have much of an opinion for or against LOTR type fantasy stories. yes, a lot of people here might object, but that's beside he point. hey, are you familiar (i'm sure you are) with the back story behind the harry potter series? the woman went from being a single mom on welfare in a dumpy apartment barely surviving to becoming one of the wealthiest women in england, not to mention one of the most beloved authors of our time... all in three years! if she could do it, you can do it. right?

there are still a lot of free blog sites out there, although i don't know how many people write fiction in blogs. surely you could do short story blogs, just to get your name out there. publish a few compilations of shorts into an ebook, do things like that til you've got a longer novel ready to publish. by that time you'll have a following. make sure you also subscribe to other blogs... blogsters tend to promote each other, and word of mouth is a good thing.

i'll send you a pm later this week, we'll talk. my arm's giving out on me right now. i don't know if i have carpal tunnel or some other syndrome, but it doesn't take much for me to end up in agony, so i'm going to go watch some tv.

Have thought about doing that too...but never felt any pull in that direction. Would not know what to write about either....

Think the only thing I am really good for when it comes to sharing God's word is babble.... which is already being done at a couple sites outside of facebook. Just feel in short, talent...or gifts in that department are in a word, lacking.

Will be waiting for that pm, it is no rush. Will be praying for your arm.

May God Bless You

Dani

John 17 is the real Lords prayer so to speak. Chapters 14, 15, 16 lead up to and are contained in the prayer. What is wonderful about john 17 is that in this section of scripture we can find the prayers that God will answer, He has to, because He prayed them for us Himself.

Well anyway Jesus prayed we would not be taken out of this world. You see every one of us, with no exception, has a calling, a ministry, we are all kings and priests, and just as Jesus did only what He saw His Father doing we also have works that the Father has prepared for us to do and as Jesus glorified His Father in heaven by the works He did we also have the opportunity to glorify our Father in heaven by the works He has prepared before the foundations of the world for us to do.

So, He has given us eternal life, a purpose glorifying Him via works, He will teach us to be in the world and not of it, fill us with joy, sanctified in truth, his word is truth, and bring us into unity for the ultimate purpose of Love. "They will know you are my disciples by the love you have one for another"

He may not answer our prayers on our time line or the way we would think He would but if you prayed these things with a sincere heart He will answer.

This prayer He prayed and then offered Himself a living sacrifice.

I've always encouraged people to pursue their dreams, whatever those dreams may be. We don't always get what we strive for, but it's better than never giving things a try.

I worked for years as a reporter and editor and would help in any way I could.

Even if delays seem agonising, don't give up on your dreams. :emot-highfive:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
