Oak, very good points indeed. I used to know scripture. Now I live scripture. I used to be carnal. Now I am spiritual. I used to deal with people for Christs sake. Now I actually love them. And the list goes on.

I think about this type of stuff everyday. As I daily walk with our Father, I ask him to teach me what to do and say to each person he brings unto me. I ask him to show himself to me so that I can be like him.

I currently have two disciples that I am working with travailing in birth until Christ be formed in them. One is close, possibly ready. The other is still seriously seeking truth. But if we who are converted diligently seek to save that which is lost by getting into their lives and showing them Christ from within, we can see those days of revival come to life and the church can go out in style with a large welcoming party when our Lord comes to rule.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

I am truly glad you have disciples, but I do worry. We as humans can’t have disciples, period. All is in Christ. I could be wrong. The most important thing is to develop the “Beatitudes” and other Christ’s teaching and virtues. That’s the biggest mistake the now groovy line on Christ is; it’s without virtue. Honesty, compassion, meekness, humility is what we need to work on. We need no adherence other than pushing people to Christ. However If God directs you, say, “Dear God how can I serve you best, increase my faith” and I’ll bet you you’re adherents will become equal to you. The obvious point is don’t get a swelled head no matter what you do and realize you are in a spiritual war where being the leader is taking on the lowest post.

Oak

You seem to have read it to mean I had two disciples of me. That isn't what I am saying at all. My position with them is one as Paul had, be ye followers of me as I am of Christ. Teaching them to walk the walk by being the example and showing them Christ while also teaching them from the scriptures. And Amen, being the leader is being servant of all. I understand that really well. It took awhile but Christ 'in me' is the only thing that is attractive to the ones who need him. Most see me as self-righteous and proud because it is what is in their hearts that is evil. This is particularly why all those who are willing to live godly in Christ Jesus suffer persecution. Those who are uncircumcised in heart but claim to be of the circumcision absolutely hate it when you walk as Christ walked, simply laying down your life and loving others because you see that is what he did. All my righteousness was filthy rags until God introduced me to his Son and taught me that I could walk as he walked and that I would not only have imputed but imparted righteousness as well. The promise was that men would hate me just as they did him. I find that to be true.

May God richly bless you in all spiritual wisdom and keep you until the day of Jesus Christ without spot and blameless before him in love,

Gary

The Lord has let me live Scripture by having me totally depending on Him with my money.

He has not failed me yet in that department.

I know He is venturing out in other areas in my life to totally trust Him and that's where I think I am walking a rough road at the moment because I am still wobbly...but I refuse to let go of His Hand.

Oh, Oh…. The whole fight is centered on you giving all your trust including money on Christ. It’s a matter of dependence…who do you depend upon? You cannot mix money with Christ. "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." Matt 6:24 Walk the narrow.

No "oh oh"..lol

Money and having enough of it was a major concern of mine (obviously as a single Mum) SO...God showed me by making me dependant on HIM in that area that He is faithful and will support me and provide for me in every area of my life.

At the moment I feel like I am on the edge of the nest ready to take my first solo flight out from another area of my life that I need to hand over to Him..

Do you see where I'm coming from?

I'm not the providor...God is...and always has been, even when I thought it was me....

There was a time in my own walk when I was always looking for some new thing, some great doctrinal truth that would swell my head up like a balloon. God showed me that the most profitable scripture to me is the one that I put into practice. Head knowledge is good, but it should always be transferred to shoe leather as Dr. McGee like to put it. Actually doing what truth you may know is much better than having a head full of fundamentals and not practicing any of them. Our studies of scripture should lead to a direct obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm asking the Lord to always keep that truth before my face before I become puffed up, vain, and unprofitable to him or my fellow saints.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
