True, it could be lion, a donkey, or something else. However, should it be a representation of Samson and the lion that doesn't prove the Biblical account. Archeologists might find a representation of Romulus and Remus, but that does not mean they have found evidence that these individuals are historical. It remains, nonetheless, a very interesting find.

I always loved archeology, and I feel it is singularly important that we may, yes, draw conclusions (or at least 'make relevent guesses) from finds, but we must never 'find' the meaning we want in an artifact that is open to interpretation.............

Thanks for sharing that, it was great.

It just saddens me that we still have to look for scientific evidence to prove God and/or the Bible is true. And I say that because I'm an old guy. I had hoped by now the whole world would have been believing God is real, and the stories in the Bible are true. I just wish, that's all.

I keep seeing that ad for the show on the History channel called The Bible. Since I don't have TV service if anyone knows where I might be able to see it online, please tell me. And if it's not online, and someone watches it, please tell us if it's worth watching. About 20 years ago there were many TV shows about the Bible, but they were almost all false information. I hope this one isn't like that.

It could be Samson. Possibly the artifact was made by someone who heard of Samson, or someone who heard the story of Samson, or some who heard the myth of Samson. It could be that a man called Samson existed, and over time, retelling of the stories, the facts became exagerated. I don't take exception with Samson, but I do have concerns about people who would assume this proves the validity of the Old Testiment, and it proves that supernatural events occured. I think proof should be held to a much higher standard, and we should not be so easily swayed or our beliefs so easily forged.
