Yod, you confuse me. How is it that you understand clearly that we who are not of Abrahams loins are his children spiritually as he is the father of us all just as many are called the children of the devil, yet when seeking to understand that which is spoken of Ephraim and Manasseh spiritually you vehemently oppose yourself to it and believe that the ones bringing it up are claiming replacement theology?

It is clear that Salvation is of the Jews as Jesus stated to the Samaritan woman at the well. The interesting thing I find is that the Samaritan woman represents us, the gentile portion of the church and it is Gods rejection of the house of Joseph that causes him to return to the beloved Jewish brothers who have been blind to the identity of their messiah for so long and to finalize the bringing in of the kingdom through them. The half tribe of Manasseh that was on the other side of the river.

God love our Jewish brethren whom we should have been watching over with a zeal and pouring out a blessing upon rather than working to strip them of the promises given them by God. They will have their day in the sun shortly.

the sheep are the people who follow his second commandment....

Sam, will you please elaborate for clarity.

Gary

Jesus's second commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves..... if you look at the people who he has put on his right (sheep) it is the people who have taken care of those who couldn't take care of themselves....... loving their neighbors.

I personally think that you have to love God (the whole trinity) to be able to do that, so I would say much what Jesus has told us all along...... if we love and follwo him we will do as he says..... Love God and Love our neighbors....... and it is bassically that simple. While being a Christian can be tricky, it is really simple...

None of that makes any sense because you assume your "spiritual" interpretations to be correct.

Please explain what you mean by:

that which is spoken of Ephraim and Manasseh spiritually

believe that the ones bringing it up are claiming replacement theology?

(If you're refering to 2-house then the answer is simple. It is a hybrid brand of replacement theology)

the Samaritan woman represents us, the gentile portion of the church

Analogies are fair, but just because someone can come up with a metaphor does not mean that their comparisons are actually equal to the scriptures.

And that is a fair & correct application, but the interpretation is very literally speaking of the Jews.

I think I understand better Yod, thanks for the clarity. You do have a great point. Who is to say that my understanding is proper or correct? Of course I believe what I have been shown. I understand why one would approach with skepticism. Can you explain the why Peter would write such a thing unto those who already are believers in Jesus Christ?

2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

What is he explaining will happen to these believers if they obey what is written? Why did he elevate it above and compare it too that which he, James and John experienced on the mount? Has this happened to you yet?

Well, he says that "all the nations" will be gathered before him and that pretty much sounds like everyone to me.

Right....all the "goyim" will be judged by how they treated His brethren.

That word means gentiles the way it is being used in this passage. The Gentiles are the nations.

Let's look at the context.

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such anutterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”— 18 and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

19 So we have the prophetic word more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

He's telling them that they had literally heard the voice of God proclaim Yeshua to be "My Son in whom I am well pleased" and that confirmed the words of prophecy concerning who Yeshua is. He's just saying this is something they've seen with their own eyes and therefore is the "prophetic word more sure".

I don't see that as relevant to an experience Ya'acov or Yochanan had.

AAhhh, I see where you're coming from... I'll have to ponder on that for a while...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
