Could be... The only thing that keeps me from being convinced that it could be a Tattoo is that the mark will be on the forehead or arm. I don't think anyone would be keen on receiving a tattoo on their foreheads, it's not a cool nor attractive thing to have in my opinion.

In the OT, the Mosaic law forbids tattoos.

Generally speaking, Jewish people do not get tattoos. (Of course there are always exceptions). And I would imagine there is a similar prohibition among Muslims.

Actually, the only advantage to receiving the mark is that you won't be killed. Refuse the mark and you'll likely be killed. (beheaded)

Gaotu is the masonic universal god ( which in fact is likely baal ) grand architect of the universe.

I believe the mark on the hand could be actions performed in accordance with the masonic quarters. Although it is also interesting the masons practice a multitude of secret handshakes and platitudes.

My initial comment about a tattoo was tongue in cheek at Back2theBible concerning another thread.
