Bad company corrupts, it's more likely your cousin will drag you down than you pull him up. Sadly, sometimes we have to walk away from certain people and pray The Lord intervenes through someone else.

I agree with you. But John was telling us there's 1 sin we shouldn't even pray for. It could be that praying for it will simply attract the evil beings my cousin associates with to me, and it won't help him. This has been going on over 20 years. He likes being in touch with these beings. But me, I want nothing to do with them. And if he committed the sin John is referring to, I want nothing to do with him.

Reading through the thread I would certainly agree with that sin being blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, I know there are different opinions on what precisely that is considering we are not given a clear definition in scripture.

That's because Christian sinners are not sin free saints and when they quote scriptures as liars instead of saints, other sinners can see that they are hypocrites. Other sinners won't obey hypocrites but may listen to a true saint who speaks for God, if they are true believers, chosen by our Creator to hear Him.

Mark 3:28 "Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."

Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is saying the Holy Spirit is unclean: a demon or of the devil.

I see almost none of you wants to help me much with this, and I can't blame you. It's a fearsome thing to say someone has committed the unforgivable sin. So I'm going to have to follow the unctions I'm getting, and that means I will probably never have anything else to do with this cousin. It really is a shame, but 20+ years ago I tried and I tried to convince him he was following evil spirits, but he wouldn't listen. He likes having these things in him and around him.

We've all done bad things in our lives but if we have the Holy Spirit in us we usually will feel guilty, and at some point stop the sin. If we have the Holy Spirit within us. The man I'm talking about has no guilt nor remorse for all the bad things he has done and continues to do.

So I will just say thank you to everyone who replied.

John

Greetings Everyone,

I know many of you here know the Bible much better than me. So I'd like to know if anyone knows what sin John is referring to here? Forgive me for not explaining why I'm asking this. Just know that I do have a very good reason.

1 John 5:16

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

This is a very, very good question. In fact it is such a difficult question that a wise christian should step back and not try to answer it, in fear of speculating and then find out that he or she was wrong and accidentally led someone away from the faith. So, I'm outta this one. But if you have any other hard questions, feel free to check my profile for answers.

Blessings

Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God. Jeremiah 3:22

And Run Back To Jesus

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Luke 15:20-24

SHIROI, I don't know how to find your profile. I wanted to look at the other questions you posted. This question as I posted it is even harder to answer because I'm asking it in regards to a certain person. And we aren't supposed to judge others in regards to where they stand with God. I know this.

Joe, I keep waiting and hoping that my cousin would come crying back to God. But he doesn't. In fact he told me last week that I shouldn't expect him to ever forget the secret spiritual things he learned. And as much as we are not to judge each other, I had to make a decision on whether or not I would accept him into my home, even for a few hours. I decided I won't. It's not just a matter of what he believes, because I know he's wrong and I'm past the point where his ideas can harm me. It's more a matter of the spirit or spirits that are in him or around him.

What he did to his now ex-wife and his sons 20+ years ago is worse than I will write. And even though we live in different states, I have become very good friends with his ex. I still consider her family. She told me something yesterday that's pertinent to this issue. According to my cousin he did come back to God and he thinks he's full of the Holy Spirit. The point his ex made to me yesterday is he feels no guilt nor remorse for all the hurt and pain he caused, and continues to cause. So I said that's proof he didn't come back to God, and that he doesn't have the Holy Spirit in him. Because 1 of the main things the Holy Spirit does is to convict us of sin. I feel guilty even if I'm short 1 penny when I buy something. Even when the cashier say's Don't Worry About It, I still feel guilty, and if I find a penny on the ground I bring it back to the store.

So maybe someday this cousin of mine will ask Jesus to come back to him. If he does and I'm alive I think I will be able to discern that. But for now I'd rather him not come here because I'll just end up arguing with him. I believe in Jesus and the God of the Bible, and he doesn't. It's sad for me, but it's true, and my loyalty is to Jesus.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
