2 Cor. 11:14 (NIV)

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Preachers today preach Christ resurrected a message of victory and blessings. They preach anything but the cross. When you become a Christian you are being given a death sentence, you are given a cross to slowly die on. People will believe the angel of light because the message will make sense and it will help our lives and the principles will work, but it will not lead to the cross or Jesus. Ananias and Sapphira were killed instantly for their sin but Simon the Sorcerer was just warned. Peter was freed from jail by a miracle but John the Baptist was left to die. Paul secretly escaped from persecution but Stephen was stoned to death. God does not operate according to some plan or book or law. He acts out of love and does what He wants in any given situation. We are at the mercy of God. God will not play your game, He has given you time enough to get on board with his program.

Greeetings crucifiedlife;

Rome decided that if you can't kill all the Christians; you join them and water down their faith, mixing it with the other religions to appease everyone!

Really Caeser created the Papal order to control all religions; a type of one world religion of it's time!

But as Caeser began to lose control as the Popes gained more control, and for many hundreds of years people wern't even allowed to have or read a bible!

Though the protestants brought freedom from the Popes dominance , and the right to read the bible, the traditions and corruptions were carried on!

Pastors are like little Popes, and when differences in doctrine came about, all the differant denominations came about; all thinking they were the true way!

Popes and Pastors were never given the right to rule over the sheep, and or to build their own kingdoms!

The true body of Christ shares their gifts and teaching, and those that have much help those that have little!

They have no true gifts in operation today in the mainline churches, and instead of each person having a gift and ministering to the body, they sit and listen to usually something that will keep the people and money coming in!

It's sad; there hardly is no one who travels the way of the crucified life; it's never taught and you will loose members of your church talking about it!

They will never realize that to live for Christ you must first die to your own will, that Christ must become first in you life and living!

Christ will almost never lead and speak to those who follow their own way, He leads and guides those who change to any direction the Lord leads!

But when the Lord searches out a heart to see that it will be obedient and die to his selfish ways, then the Lord begins to make himself known!

Most of what is going on in church is just good feelings and religiousity!

I don't post here much anymore, but I like your username and your post, not to many will agree with you here, sorry to say!

Amen, I realize that the crucified life is not a popular subject, however it is one after God's own heart Jesus said pick up your cross and follow me, He also said that your bothers and mothers and fathers would be lost to you and against you, Doesn't sound like a popularity gospel does it?

The Lord said in Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Sound's painful but I want to be broken not powder,

God Bless All

Thanks for the post and the history. It sounds like you are one who is trying to stay on the narrow road. I went to a church tonight and although the message was supriseingly OK I always get the feeling that it is about the good feelings. People judge their Christianity on how they feel about their quiet time or a passage, it is absurd. I believe God is searching for those that want to want to obey and are willing to join in Jesus' sufferings. I am encouraged that someone else here seems to 'get it.'

You don't post here often, where do you post?

In Christ,

Matt.

Shammah, and Crucifiedlife,

I realize that many today want fluff and feel good gospel, but that doesn't set the captives free and cause true repentance and a newlife. It is dangerous to just let people believe that it is an easy life and God will just sail you through all of the troubles in life, grace means that we have the ability to GO THROUGH not float over the problems of life. I know of one person that just told me that Paul didn't have enough FAITH because he went through so many problems! They had been going to a church that taught that you just needed faith to blow all of the problems in your life away so that it would be a testamony to the unsaved. :)

Kind of scary HUH? :)

True. If some of the Christians of today were with Jesus in the garden they would have told him that he didn't have enough faith. There is also an unwritten rule in church that if things are going wrong God must some how be against you and if you get a new job that God is blessing you, the satanic part of this is that they claim that things that are from God are from Satan and things that are from Satan are from God. Twisted. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
