I  have my pictures already saved on a usb (did that a long time AGO|) and I can't even get into anything anymore..........I know there is a way for people to get into my computer, would you be able to do that?I'm on my husbands pc now....

Usually you have to remove the HDD and hook it up to another machine as a slave and if the HDD is accessible, you can get files you want to save that way.  But your problem with the drivers can't really be fixed that way.  It is only useful to access files on the HDD.

Thanks for trying to help!!! So strange that I'm able to get online in the safe mode!!!

Not unusual at all...Safe mode loads only the bare-bones necessary drivers...for such a time as this.

The next step is to eliminate the HDD as a problem source, and to recover any corrupted data and repair any bad sectors...to do that we use what is called chkdsk.

Since you're in safe mode, Start> type in cmd....you'll see what looks like a little black box icon with cmd next to it. RIGHT click and select "run as administrator"

When the actual cmd (short for command prompt) comes up, type in: chkdsk /r (notice that there is a space between the k and the /) and hit enter.

You will probably see a message telling you that the volume is locked, and asking if you want to run chkdsk at the next start up.

type y (for yes) and enter

You will see a message telling you that chkdsk will run the next time the computer is started.

type: exit and hit enter...then reboot the computer. Walk away and have a cup of tea while chkdsk does its thing....the screen will be black, and if it seems to be hanging, that is normal. Do not interrupt or power down the computer...it will eventually start going again.

When chkdsk is done, it will give you a summary and boot the computer...hopefully this will solve the issue!

OK sorry all just now came upon this topic I've been busy. Trying the chkdsk is a really good idea, if it doesn't work I have a few more things we can try. Just might have to give me time I am out of town at work right now and posting on my smartphone isn't always the easiest.

after reading through the thread, I think mcgyver is on the right track with the video card, it seems to be a hardware related issue, probably pertaining to your video card. I would go ahead and run chkdsk like suggest, and it would not hurt to download and run memtest86+ scroll down and download the pre compiled bootable ISO and burn that to DVD, then put into the DVD drive of the computer in question, and let run for a few hours, perhaps overnight, to rule out both the hard disc, and the memory. After it is done running, if it reads 0 errors, your memory is fine-if it reads any errors at all, its time for new memory.

If its the video card, which I suspect it is, don't worry you can usually find them decently cheap, however, you got to be careful which ones you buy-something like this should work for your system. theyre easy to replace, but lets see if we can eliminate the hard drive (chkdsk) and memory (memtest86+) first just to be on the safe side.

@ bopeep, check  your inbox-you should have the solution to your problem there. If not, pm me back and we can go from there. :D

I have more information which came up under repair,: It says that it had detected a prolem and that windows has been shut down to prevent damage to the computer.

System_service_exeption

Make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed . If this is as new installation ask your hardware of software manifacturer for any update you need.

If problem continues disable  or  remove and new installed hardware or software '

Disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.

This might be done in safe mode

What does this mean? The last thing I installed was as I remember  bitdefender ,could this have caused the problem
? Where can I check what was installed?
Thanks!!

Depends...but I'm willing to bet that you got a stop code of 0x0000003B...if so, then it's the result of a bad video driver.

Does that look like the code that was given?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
