I always crash and burn! I hate it! Sometimes I don't feel worthy enough to go before the throne, because i'm so embarsed. But when i go to the throne i feel like 500lbs are of my back.

Although i never said

Sometimes the littlest things can go wrong and we fall into the poor me syndrome( i have been there) and we say why me God why me.

I begin to hate what i do, I'm not one to blame God for what i do, or the situation i'm in, because I know what i should do to over come them, but i push that still small voice out the window, and i know God could had helped me and i did't want to listen.

I'm not were i should be on my walk with God, but i am catching up.

For that reason, I believe that discipleship is as essential as witnessing and conversion.

Too many people fall because of "ministry burnout" as well.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Dime Ministries, I also feel ministry burnout takes its toll. A friend of mine an ordained pastor, who I had met many years ago before his church started had told me never tire in the Lord which were very true words and something I have always cherished and taken to heart. He himself unfortanetly after years of not enough sleep and all the stresses had a nervous break down and needed some recoop time. He is back and serving God and ministering again and realized that maybe he was going harder than God wanted him to so he has slowed down and all is well. And yes discipleship is very important as we must support our fellow brothers and sisters in there walks in there struggles.

We all fall short, and it is true that there is many a time in which I, myself lose patience or do things of which are not pleasing unto God. Often times making myself ponder if I am truly ready if not capable for the fight of which is being fought day by day. However, as brothers and sisters in Christ we cannot lose faith. We must support and love one another, even in our short comings for the Lord, our God will never leave us nor forsake us.

There may come days in which the battle will seem almost unbearable. Know that should you ever come to this point and need a prayer...feel free to pm me, for it is something of which my heart would desire to do is to help others in their time of need. Never feel discouraged though, for even should we fall we can always get up should we draw breath and know that the next time such a trial comes before us that we are soldiers of God.

For it is my firm belief that God will continue to let that trial be faced until conquered. With God all things are possible, so there is no limit to his power, nor is there an end to the trials. Yet with Him can we alone find victory. God Bless.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

I maybe should have used the word failed instead of burn as I was not refering to flames of hell but when we fall as Christians and fail in our lives it ain't pretty thats for sure.

I knew what you were getting at. I didn't think you were referring to hell.

i feel i have crashed and burned, and ive felt like this for a long time. i do sturggle with smoking and drinking and lust and anger at times. i feel very much like im standing on broken legs and im below lukewarm. i seem to go round and round in circles and get very weary that im not living up to gods standards, which im afriad will cause me to go to hell even though i gave my life to christ many years ago. its defiantly a struggle, and one that gets the better of me more often than not, but it was helpful to know that christians everywhere past and presant have the same struggles....

Ever feel like you are just hanging on the edge of you rope? Then a village idiot comes along and says, "Tie a knot and hang on."

Christ did not call you to "hang on," but to stand firm. We aren't to crawl around like babies, but to walk in him.

Read what John wrote:

1 John 5:3-4 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Does this seem absurd to you? God's commands are not burdensome, and yet we have thousands of books to help Christians in their struggles. Why? Who really is winning the battle here?

I have fought God tooth and nail in regards to my will vs. his. Even when I want to do his will, I don't. What's my problem? My problem is that I'm making everything too hard. I'm not living in the Spirit, and so obeying is impossible! At least, it seems that way.

thereaperman, I would so encourage you to listen to God. Don't try to interpret anything he says, just listen. Interpretation gives Satan a chance to change God's words. Conscience and "common sense" are the great barriers between you and God. Don't try so much, because human effort is of no use to God. His power comes through grace. Look at the last part of John's words:

for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

You can't be an overcomer if you are hanging on to a rope. Trust me, the rope won't take you anywhere you want to go anyway. The strength of the Spirit comes when we unquestioningly follow Jesus Christ.

Have faith in God, let go of the rope!!

Hubert, letting go of the rope is so important. I can relate to that analogy personally. We must have faith, we must trust, we must believe. Our strength comes from the Lord and if we trust in Him and what he teaches us through the word we cannot fail, we won't crash and burn ! So the answer to our sucess in this world is Jesus Christ in control of our life plain and simple.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
