America no longer the beautiful

Our Country is no longer America the beautiful. She is America the whore who has left her God, she is America the Murderer of unborn babies, she is America whose love toward God has grown icy cold and only loves the fulfilling of its own desires. She is America no longer the beautiful. What made this nation a beautiful nation was not the purple mounted majesties or the fruited plains. It was her devotion to God, it was we were willing to help our neighbor and how many of us never even know there names now! It was her red hot preaching where pastors stood up for the Word of God with a conviction and unashamedly proclaimed what the truth was, they were not afraid to step on toes. They called sin what it was sin! I fear where our Country will be in the next 10 or 15 years if we do not wake. God needs some people to stand in the Gap for Him still today. I hope he does not say of this generation "but I found none". I hope we will find favour in the sight of God. I hope That we will wake up! America is going down a slippery slop at 100mph with no brakes and inches closer and closer to God's Judgement. Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. 1Pe 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? Ill be surprised if there are many comments on this post.

I agree with ya Soulwinner. The sad thing is its probably only going to get worse until Jesus comes back. Who knows what the world will be like then.

Well, I am not so sure I agree

Being Canadian, of course, the perspective is a bit different....

But if one has travelled to other places i n the world the thing that stands out about the United States, for me, is that it is still unabashedly a country where the Name of Jesus is lifted up; where the rights & dignity of the individual are entrenched in the constitution.

It is a country that still is on the cutting edge of different kinds of missionary outreach to the far corners of the earth ;

and the country ( along with Britain) that supports Israel . ..

From my perspective American IS beautiful.

Yes i agree We look to hard on the bad things without looking on the Good things.

But it is true to say our country is on a slow down fall.

One thing to add comparing to other nations is most police forces in other countries is the law enforcement is very corrupt. U.S. does have it but at alot smaller percentage along w/ the military. There is thanksgiving in that. This ratio could be compared to the people as well on broader terms. I agree there has been a high number of moral absolutes compromised & ratio has see-sawed but we can be thankful for the goodness left,having joy in that.

Uh....have we ever been a nation for God...or have we simply been a nation that's always given lip service to God? I tend to believe we've been very Godly based on our words but our actions have almost always been far from God. After all, slavery, killing of native Americans, moving them off of their land, Civil War, stealing land from Mexico...etc......we've never really been a Christian nation in actions. It's simply more obvious today.
