I do not believe in the "Once saved, always saved" because no matter what, u will always be a sinner. There is no such thing as a perfect and holy person, other than Jesus Christ. So, if you sin, you must ask for forgiveness, if you don't then you are not forgiven

No, that's not biblical. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior you are forgiven of past, present and future sins. The blood of the Lamb is permanent.

The thing is. I was saved when I was 14. After my mom left the church, I could no longer go. Soon after, I fell into a deep depression, cut myself, and was suicidal. The depression still lingers, although its not as bad, I quit cutting at 18, and suicidal thoughts ended at 22. I'm now 24. And I am not a great Christian, I wish I can be better. I had all my kids out of wedlock. I have 3, had my first at 18. I try so hard not to fall into temptations but I sin, ALOT, And I always feel ashamed, and I don't feel forgiven until I ask for it.

I can understand that. I was also suicidal at 24..

but when the holy spirit hits you that's it, you are his forever. Do you believe that Jesus is God and that he is your savior?

Probably 2/3rds of the Christians i know who are my age have experienced much the same.....  maybe not to the point of trying to kill ourselves, but at lest leading lifestyles that would/could get us killed.

I am intrigued with the reasons for cutting.  I come across people who are struggling with this and I really don't know how to help.    Prayer sometimes works but understanding why this happens is just foreign to my thoughts....   I don't understand.

Thanks for this topic post.

Actually if a person does not believe in Eternal Security, such a person does not trust the Lord Jesus as Savior in the sense that I do.  When I say I trust the Lord Jesus as my Savior, I mean that I trust Him for my new nature and for eternal bliss in companionship with Him wherever He may be at any time, currently in Heaven.  I do not mean that I believe He will give me eternal bliss if such & such.

I think that some who teach that one can lose salvation have a deficient understanding of what salvation is.  Salvation is not going to Heaven in the first instance.  Salvation is first of all a transformation from sinner to Child of God right now, though it does include eternal life.  Salvation is not an award to be received after your works are judged based on having done good works.  Salvation is a new birth, a metamorphosis for child of Adam to child of God, becoming a member of a new race, the race founded by the Lord Jesus:  I give them eternal life and they shall never perish

You have by going your own way carved out a very difficult path for yourself and

your children... I would say the most necessary step is to find a body of believers that

live their lives for Christ in day to day living! Your going to need this support family

in order to be an overcomer in that place which you are. Prayed... Love, Steven

The problem I have finding a group of believers is that everyone is so judgeful, and every time I try going to church, I don't feel like I'm in the right place.

satan does not want you to have a victorious fruitfull life for God's Glory!

You should know it will not be easy doing what is right... as you already know!

Something you should consider is that growth in The Lord automatically reduces

self consideration and increases considerations on God, family and others

As it is true the love of many believers are growing more and more cold to the things

of The Lord due to the increase of wickedness still does not excuse us of not giving

our all to Him in the search! This search with all the heart comes with promise

Jer 29:13-14

13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search

for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you,

saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I

will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places

whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring

you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried

away captive.

KJV

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
