Is it good when they air video's of supposedly Israeli air raid injured Palestinians who only moments later jump off of a gurney and go running through the street's?

All news sources play such games and you have to take this into account when watching, listening or reading any source.

All new sources do not play such games, as you put it. There have been numerous cases of false reporting by Arabic news organizations like Al Jazeera. While most European news organizations are not fair to Israel, Arab news organizations take the cake when it comes to dishonesty in news reporting.

Yes, all news outlets are guilty of false reporting, twisting facts to fit their story and selective editing of both videos and facts to further their agenda.

It is good to get a perspective of what is happening in our country and the world from multiple perspectives and agendas.

One just has to filter what they take in knowing that all news outlets have an agenda to push and none are unbiased

I think that even if everything said in a news report is misleading spin or outright lies, whatever the network, it's useful to know what people are being told and what people are believing.  Al Jazeera being shown in the U.S is no threat to critical thinkers.

The propoganda is a threat to you if the majority of your neighbors are not critical thinkers and take most things at face value.  The propoganda is to promote Islam, and I don't mean giving Muslims equal treatment, I mean domination. Be wary.

It is a danger when Common Core is now the norm and your children are being taught to abandon critical thinking skills and just accept what is being spoon fed to them.

Please provide Biblical support for your assertion that God want's us to swallow lies rather than taking His Word to heart.

Pr 23:12

¶ Apply your heart unto instruction, and your ears to the words of knowledge.

Never does God ask us to play the fool.

Never does He ask us to examine what the enemy is doing. Rather He asks us to know Him so well and in relationship that we will know the falsehood immediately and reject it instantly.

We have no business examining the lie. We are to expose it to the Light, we are to mortify it with Salt,  and that is the difference between what is being said here in this thread by two opposed party's.

Nobody has made this claim.  Why do you resort to strawmen?

Never does He ask us to examine what the enemy is doing.

I disagree.  God told Moses to send 12 spies to see what the enemy was doing.  Joshua sent spies to see what the enemy was doing.

We have no business examining the lie. We are to expose it to the Light, we are to mortify it with Salt,  and that is the difference between what is being said here in this thread by two opposed party's.

All sources of news in our current times are filled with lies and misleading agendas.  This is true of everyone from FoxNews to Al Jazeera and everyone in-between.  So unless you receive no news from any source, you are doing what you say we have no business doing.

Here is nice example of FoxNews being dishonest...link

There are news outlets that have God as their focus, there are no news agencies that have the truth as their focus, all have an agenda to push.

So, in the end we are again left with the 3 choices I spoke of above...

 1.  We can ignore them all and be ignorant to what is happening in the world

2.  We can just choose those sources that feed us what we want to hear

3.  We can go to various sources from all perspectives and try and glean the truth.

To me one and two are unacceptable, which only leaves 3.

Each will have to choose for themselves which of the 3 they will choose.

I think that the more knowledge people have available to them, the more empowered they will be to become critical thinkers.  Then they won't so easily accept all the propaganda that comes their way  Complacent minds are nurtured with ignorance.  Open discourse is the enemy of ignorance.

- I get bored of News Stations trying to entertain.

With Right or Left Wing Ding A Lings. Yanking each other's chain.

I like News Stations from all parts of The World.

That way I don't have to take one opinion, about everyone else.

Everyone has an agenda. And I want to hear them all. From them.

I thought Al Jazeera was going to be a horrid take over.

But I've found if you get to hear the News from many sources?

It might keep the players a little more honest with each other.

So far? I've liked All Jazeera News.

Which makes me wonder what the other News Station was so nervous about?

No News Station can present The Whole Truth. They can only show some of any truth.

But with so many News Stations maybe we can see more than one side...

It's The Holy Spirit Leads Me Into All Truth. And tells me things to come. And reminds me of what Jesus said.

So I'm not worried about truth.

To me Truth Is A Spirit. And not just someone's opinion.

So "Fear Not Little Flock It Is The Father's Good Pleasure To Give You the Kingdom."

What part of the lie is the Truth? (point 3)

On point two I know what I believe therefore I align myself with the sources that most match my worldview, which again is Judeo/Christian.

On point 1 no one is advoocating being ignorant. I'm not even sure why you'd make that point.

I don't believe that your viewpoint is Biblical. Please use scripture to support your assertion. Where does God tell us to examine a lie so that we will know the Truth?

P.S., You're not honestly going to quote Media Matters on a post about media bias are you?????????

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
