I think the mark of the beast will cause significant spiritual damage to people, such that people will trust less, will be required to behave the way system requires them to behave,  and will become less merciful.

I think I can see it happening, Although, people leave some room in their hearts to good works, so that there is always a return point. The mark or the beast may not offer a return point.

I'm surprised this isn't in the conspiracy section, personally I see the whole world moving to a cashless society long before the introduction of the mark, thus much like every time we are given a new number such as social security, credit card, banking and routing number, the masses hysterically call it the mark of the beast, I'm pretty sure microchip ID will come into the national market, and after no antichrist shows up, it will be forgotten.............but I don't plan to get one, as its more than likely a forerunner of the one that will be instituted by the antichrist

I personally do not like cashless societies, mainly because a credit card is useless when someone meets a person in need.

 

Even when you setup some standing order from your a/c, to some other a/c, the whole charitable aspect is diminished, as I think.

Yes the anti-Christ will have light that deceives. He will probably be charming, possibly handsome, very articulate and very charismatic. He will promise so much and will appear to many as some sort of saviour.I guess he will offer World peace, an end to poverty, economic prosperity, no more crime, no more slavery and a World of pleasure, opportunity and great expectations.

I think that he will deceive nearly everyone at first, but eventually the wise and discerning will see what is under that smiling mask. They will grow cautious of him. Something won't feel right.

When it comes to it, they will refuse to take the mark.

Those who refuse the mark will be scapegoated because they will be hindering the anti-Christ's work on Earth. They will be an obstacle to the fulfillment of his promises. How can a cashless society work if there are those who refuse to participate? How can this 'Messiah' bring everyone peace and pleasure when there are fools who don't trust him.?

These 'fools' who don't take the mark will probably be harrassed by their fellow citizens who have taken the mark. Eventually they will be persecuted by their fellow man and turned in to the government, maybe with bounties on their heads. Those that have taken the mark will have no sympathy for those don't take it. They will only have their own interests at heart. They will be selfish, decadent people, given up to their own lust and greed. They will adore the anti-Christ and will despise those who are against him.

I understand it will give you some insight into the subject, but does it mean someone cannot design something we or someone else has not come to think about before? Nevertheless, does not really matter to me and maybe it was a hoax, I have no problem with that.

 

But we have to remember many of the inventions that are part of our every day life today have been ridiculed ideas in the past.

 

Of course, time will tell but I think we are heading towards cashless society, seen many of the signs implying that in my country already.
