In your opinion, why do you think mankind had to go take the evolutionary path and what benefits to man because of it?

What do you mean "the evolutionary path"?

What benefits has evolution given man?

As opposed to man being created as a fully functioning complete human being?

If you're asking why I favor evolution as an explanation of the origin of man over instant creation, the answer is because the Theory of Evolution explains the evidence we have whereas instant creation is contradicted by it.

If this isn't what you're asking perhaps you could re-phrase your question.

The skulls (incomplete) are just extinct apes in my opinion.

I was brought up by an atheist father and I have never held the view we evolved from apes.

From an early age I was amazed with nature as well as people from different countries.

I still can't find evidence that first man was other than an upright, intelligent human being as we are today - maybe even smarter.

Can you tell me how the caterpillar DNA evolved? And from what starting point?

Blessings HisG,

God bless you and it is nice to meet you......I seem to think you keep asking the same question 99different ways, the answer will still be that evolution has nothing to do with your analogy of the metamorphosis of a butterfly, you say you are trying to better understand the evolutionists perception and you have an evolutionist (Latent Author)to answer your questions but you still want to put the butterfly in the equation when he tried to tell you it has no part in it,what is so important about the DNA of a butterfly?

And who is father evolution? You lost me on that one....at first I thought you were saying further evolution but then you said it in another post.......I am just trying to understand what you are trying understand-lol

Father evolution as in Mother Nature - my bad!

Ok, the canopy of evolution which butterflies fall under - DNA is complex. If every living thing by evolutionists stand point, started, let's say, from a warm soupy pond - at which point do we get slow speed (small changes over time) evolvement and quick speed metamorphism?

The reason why I've had to change the questioning in different ways is because folk aren't getting it.

Do you see there are two different rates of speed regardless of one emerging from a cocoon and one emerging from the womb.

They both have their roots in this swamp do they not? What occurred for the caterpillar to emerge from a soup to have their DNA? Where did the caterpillars DNA info come from? It's not too difficult to understand, the ape folk seemed to have lucked out and I want to know why since apparently they all originated from a common spot.

The question of what benefits of slow changes - evolution - to mankind has not been answered.

And btw, KPh! (I think the DNA of the caterpillar is cool how it can in less than a month be a complete new creature with a different function! )

@HisG:

Your point about the skulls is both nontopical and false. Ancient human skulls are irrelevant to either the metamorphosis or evolution of caterpillars, and are distinctly different from chimpanzees (n.b.: not apes) in their shift away from jaw power and towards brain size. While the collection of ancient human skulls we posess are (and always will be) incomplete, we posess enough to make many judgements on human evolution.

Your point about your atheist father and love of obsenature and foreigners (?) is also nontopical, and its lack of impacts warrants no response.

Your point about humans growing dumber through time is also nontopical but worthy of a response. What evidence in the world is there that humans are dumber today than in the past? If anything, leaps in education, nutrition, and upbringing have led to increases of intelligence. Additionally, there was really no first "man" as you speak of, but instead a gradual shift from quadripedal, lower-brainpower chimps to bipedal, greater-brainpower primates that we now call humans.

Your question about the evolution of caterpillar DNA is, finally, topical. While I do not pretend to be an expert on caterpillar (and butterfly, too, of course) evolution, the DNA is likely an extreme mutation of an insect with a life cycle. It evolved because insects with a more productive second part of their life cycle were better able to survive and reproduce, and so their mutated genes spread. Perhaps mutants were able to process the sugary part of a flower, or gained movement-enhancing small wings. Whatever way it occured, this trait was useful and became more expressed, leading to the caterpillar today.

Your response warranted a giggle here and there, it was cute AWBS, or should I say - Mr Excitement :)

Yes I do believe ancient man was as smart if not smarter - figured out how the ancient Egyptians built their pyramids? I'd love to know.

About skulls, bones etc, I thought evolutionists were quite good at deciphering a host of information about a lost ancestor merely by one tooth - which am I right, ended up being an animal tooth?

That guy Leonardo - hmm, yup - genius.

Don't forget, we are where we are today on the backs of our ancestors - as in ID ancestors.

LatentAuthor,

In your opinion, would you say evolution is efficient?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
