Back to Genesis 1 equaling Pi...how were the values for each letter determined?   Who decided the 3 letters making up the Hebrew word for "and" had the values of 400, 1 and 6?

 

You're kidding?  Will you apply the same Diligence with Numbers 2?  Go back up to the OP and read that part slowly...it has everything you need besides the Letter Values...you have to do a little research but they are accessible. 

 

 

Did a little more research and found out that if you take the phrase "The spring, the head, the fountain of your blood" from Macbeth and apply the same formula you get a number even closer to Pi, one that does not go wrong after 4 decimals places.  

 

Why do people feel the need to make up this junk to try and prove the Bible is the Word of God?  Do you really think God needed to hide codes in His word that could not be figured out for 4000 years or more to prove it's worth.  That is a very low view of God.

So there have been snake oil salesmen around for a long time, what is your point?  Or is your point that it only took someone 3500 years vice 4000 to "figure" it out?  And what message did this Rabbi come up with?

Do your own research and look up the names in Genesis 5, they do not all mean what is claimed in your opening post.  Meanings had to be either added or twisted to get to where they make that statement.

Nobody knows for sure where Golgotha is/was.  This is just unproven speculation, something you claim to not like.

It's Historical Science and yes they pretty much know.

 

This would make for an interesting topic elsewhere on the Board. I know that particular hill is a popular location for its claim to be Golgotha on account of the formation on the cliff looking like a skull, but the place is contested.

 

Using the sevens given us in Scripture is enough. Using geography and our modern units of measurement can get hairy, since the geography of Jerusalem has been altered in the past 2000 years.
