I see no problem with the Big Bang. It does not conflict with scripture at all.

Yes it does....it has the Sun prior to the Earth with no water.  And by extension, single celled life or primitive life before man.

Other than that, it only has 30 other things wrong with it  :)

im not talking about evolution. im ONLY talking about the "big bang"

A LOT of Christians say the big bang is *** edited to change the phrase the author chose to "not true" ***  but Why cant God have created it? Maybe when God created Earth in the 6 days, it appeared as the Big bang...  the big bang has yet to be disproved,

The Big Bang has yet to be proven.

so has God... whats your point?

the "Big bang theory" is a theory. a theory is something that is yet to be disproved. the "big bang" is no more proved than God, and God is no more disproved than the big bang.

IMO, I think people need to look up....into the sky....at night.....dey is a whole beeeeg bunch of suns and earths...ok planets

no wait.......galaxies......I would say black holes, but those who peer into such things, are revisiting that theory......and expansion everywhere you can look

I expand my thoughts on God when I gaze up...which, incidentally, is scriptural, but why do people shut down when theories are brought up or questions asked?

We are allowed to think as long as we do not assume everyone on the planet must think just like us.  Of course some of us are better thinkers than others.......

======================================================================================================

but why do people shut down when theories are brought up or questions asked?

What "People" are you referring to?

We are admonished to.....

(1 Thessalonians 5:21) "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."

and

(Proverbs 18:13) "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him."

So personally, I scrutinize everything 6 ways from Sunday.  Just a cursory look @ the Big Bang Theory reveals the Sun before the Earth (and then the completely Nonsensical Nebular Hypothesis which is laughable "scientifically" speaking but that's for another discussion)

GOD'S WORD says the Earth was First and the SUN, Moon, and Stars were Day 4.   See the Conundrum?

So instead of using "science" as my Hermeneutic Filter, I Choose GOD'S WORD instead.

We do know, and this is what we KNOW...God created...I am not going to pretend I  agree with those who think it was an actual 7 days...my husband believes that; I do not,

Well you not only have a problem with The Plain WORD in Genesis, you've got major issues here.....

(Exodus 20:11) "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

but we are wise enough to agree that neither of us will get into heaven on the merits of how many days or years God (creatively) played with the clay of the earth

Wise enough?

Well the point is..... if we can't believe what GOD Plainly says in Genesis, which is then confirmed quite demonstrably in Exodus (above), what can we believe?

Do we pick and choose?

if God made Earth void and with no shape, why couldnt he have made the sun with no light? & who knows, even if the big bang theory is true, it doesnt mean everything happened in the order that the scientists think it did.

Isn't the Big Bang Theory by itself just the idea that the Universe had a rapid, explosive beginning?

Don't we as Christians believe this? ("In the beginning, God created..." BANG "the heavens and the earth")  Makes sense to me!

Evolutionists twist this to fit their theory, but I am pretty sure they weren't happy with the BBT originally, because they believed the universe was infinite/eternal.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

That's the very first and second verses of the Bible

God created the heavens AND earth...the earth was formless and empty...no one was there....only the Spirit of God hovering over the waters

We only really know that God created everything.  I don't think we know exactly how it was and I am not going to defend that position because it simply really and truly does not need a defense.

Then we read about the earth as an individual planet

We do know, and this is what we KNOW...God created...I am not going to pretend I  agree with those who think it was an actual 7 days...my husband believes that; I do not,

but we are wise enough to agree that neither of us will get into heaven on the merits of how many days or years God (creatively) played with the clay of the earth

THIS ^^

many dont. thats why im asking

The "big bang" holds that an explosion started the universe - the explosion of an extremely dense mass of matter that started the universe. Nothing about GOD in that. If scientists would attribute that event to the creation/Creator, then maybe it would be true. But scientists believe and teach that it was a spontaneous event, that matter existed before a non-existent GOD created it.

why couldnt God have created that extremely dense mass of matter in his creation of the earth/universe? God can do anything he wants.  you werent there. you cant possibly know that what is described in the Bible didnt APPEAR AS a "big bang"

Maybe when God created Earth in the 6 days, it appeared as the Big bang...  the big bang has yet to be disproved, so lets pretend it definitely happened.... why not? We werent there to see it. You cant see God, yet he hasnt been disproved and we all (On this site anyway) believe God is real. I dont understand why so many Christians cant imagine GOD creating the Big bang, I mean he created everything else in this world we can and cant see, hear, smell, taste, feel. So what is the problem with him creating the Earth in 6 days, and it appearing as the big bang?

"using initials instead of words when swearing is not allowed."

So he should have used words!

she*

what do you even mean?

i obviously mean SCIENTIFIC proof. Sure, we say "Everything exists, we have the Bible, so there must be a god" but that is not SCIENTIFIC proof. God has NOT been scientifically proven OR disproved. just like the big bang.

Did you read the link?

but that is not SCIENTIFIC proof.

This statement is Nonsensical.  You can't Scientifically Prove a Past Event...it doesn't fit into the Scientific Method
