... But I have many Bible that are falling apart, and I don't want to destroy them, anybody know what I can do with them?

The ancient Hebrews used to bury old scrolls of scripture, but I don't know if it was intended to be more like a funeral service.

I was thinking the same thing but in a different way...... why not a time capsule, include a note with why you have buried it and the date.   :lightbulb2:

Are you joking? You mean the antique writing annoys you? If you have a genuine original (not a reprint), I think they would be worth a lot of money.

As you no doubt know, one can get a book rebound.

No I don't have a genuine original (sorry about the statement should have been clearer) , they both are reprints.

From the 1599 Geneva Bible

And Iefus wept.

Iohn 11:35

16) Reioyce euemore.

17) Pray continually.

I Theffalonians 5:16-17

I used the smallest three verses, and although I Thessalonians 5:17 is not hard to read verse 16 and John 11:35 are not quit as easy.

1x1x1, that is a very interesting thought.

You may want to have a look into having the Bibles rebound if they are falling apart. There are rebinding services out there but I have no idea what that might cost. It may be an option especially for Bibles that are family heirlooms, etc.

I had a bible that was coming apart and took it to a local Amish lady who does book re-binding.  I dropped off my bible one afternoon and then a couple weeks later I paid around $15 and got it back good as new!  I too too would suggest finding someone who could fix them for you.

Make wall paper with it and do a wall or a room.

Personally I wouldn't do that. It seems disrespectful to the Word

Why would you get rid of a bible unless you had another to replace it?
