jc49: I'm glad someone brought this up. I was thinking the same exact thing myself. What's going on?

Over 50,000 human souls are swept out to sea, thousands of bodies decaying and cholera and other deadly diseases are spreading from one continent to another as corspes float in the water spreading infectious disease.

Look at a map. From Indonesia (*Sumatra, the larger of the islands) all the way to Thailand, (to the North, closer to China) and then far south to India....we're talking about what?...a third of the waters polluted with dead and decaying bodies?

Ya'll ...did anybody catch the latest figures? We get glued to the Laci Peterson case where 2 lives are lost and here we're now up to .....latest figures now,

69,000 people dead so far, and that's not even beginning to include cholera and other diseases born by starvation, rotting bodies ridden with disease and the whole enchilada.

Thousands upon thousands have died from one continent to another and the bible speaks of earthquakes in diverse places, (the beginning of birth pangs).

Im excited to see prophecy fulfilled, altho I ache for those who were hurt or killed. But having the earth change its axis all of 6 cm (about 2.5 inches) is not that big a deal. The earths axis has changed before and will again. To me, the fact that the earthquake alone could affect that was a big deal. From so deep within the earth too.

Apparently, this, so far, is not the worst natural disaster in history in terms of the number of lives lost.

You know, I truly wonder how authentic and accurate the statistics were back in those days to begin with, considering.

Secondly, if the earth is likened unto birthing pangs, notice that birth is a series of intense pains which increase in intensity...*never decrease*

Birthing occurs over time... sometimes hours or even days.

As time progresses, the contractions grow longer and more agonizing.

I can't truly vouch for the accuracy of the "numbers" being quoted from past events. I think today we are better able through the use of modern technology, trac actual stats on persons and events better than in history past.

Not totally discounting history but I have some doubts about their accuracy...afterall, they really thought using leeches would cleanse the body of disease, okay?

So, who knows.

But it seems the birth pangs are growing worse and more intense and they aren't getting any easier. Now we can actually SEE the evidence of their brutality.
