WAITING PERIOD/WAITING UPON GOD

Dear Brother...

     I am not offended ,I am only hoping to help you to receive Gods Word,,,,,,we have always talked Jerry & sometimes we must go round & round a bit but it is okay,,,,,,,,,You will receive these things as the Lord opens the eyes of Your heart ,the eyes of your understanding and sometimes it takes time my Brother..........as I told Dak,only by the Power of the Holy Spirit are this revelations unfolded & this is who we continually rely on for Wisdom & Understanding........I can really only present them to you & you are correct in one thing for sure,,,,to not lean on our own understanding......
Praise the Lord!

     More importantly,I tell you ,that we desire to walk in spirit ,pray in spirit,,,,,,,our flesh is what hinders us.........we do not even know what we ought to pray for Jerry

 

It is by the help of the Holy Spirit that we are able to pray, Gal 4:6, "And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" Rom 8:26, "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

The Lord knows better than us even what to pray for........though we may desire to ask for certain things  it is better to rely on Him ,,,,,

 But no matter what ,Jerry,,,,,we must try the spirits ......pray for dscernment,look for confirmation & test against the Scriptures.....the word of God will always confirm the Word of God & be in perfect harmony and sometimes we need to simply be patient & trust God,,,,,,,everything is in his Perfect  Timing......God will definitely get his point across when He has something to tell you ....cold be hours,days,months or years.........so just Trust Him & don't worry so much about all these voices,,,,set Your sights on Him,focus not so much in "what does this & that mean" but focus on Him & seeking Him

if iam to believe the way of your teaching,

every pastor is a false pastor,

you have opposed many of my post here and you encouragr many as well,

what i mean by opposing.is that your replied makes me to lack confidence and encouragement,

and some have help and educate me,

all the ones that you opposed,

had turns out positively,

any thread i post here is just to draw confidence from you guys,

and to know the correct word to use,

to deliever my message to who ever God sent me to,

there was a time God told me expressly in the dreamed to go and rebuke a soldier man,

when i woke up,

i was afraid,

just because the man was a soldier,

i was thanking on how to confront the man,

I posted the dreamed here,

many people opposed the dream,

but few people encouraged me,

by hiting the point,

that the dream was from God,

with that confidence i want to the soldier man,

and things work out positively to the glory of God,

if iam to be following your teaching,alone,

i will be disobeying God,

I told you of a man of God that came to our church,

i saw him live and direct,

This very preacher was invited from another state,

he prophesy to a brother,

and the prophecy came to passed 8 days later,

and your replied here sound to me that he is a false preacher,

because may be he might have hear that somebody want to bless that brother with a car,

The bible said we should believe in God and also believe in his servant,

2 Chronicles 20:20"

God promise to give us pastor according to His own heart,that will feed us with knowledge and understanding,

yes i know that all you want me to be sure,is if they have link with God,

the bible said by their fruits we shall know them,

we have many true servant of God,like wise false and fake ones,

the knowledge of the word God will always help me,

there was a time a voice kept on telling me that,

the early you know that you are chosen vessel the better for you,i ignore the voice,

But one day a preacher told me boldly that iam a chosen vessel,

do i need God to come down from heaven and tell me that,

this very preacher have link with God. that very day i told God,

I suppose your intentions are well in that you feel the need to "stand" for Jerry but there is no need to "stand" for anyone unless you think someone is standing against them?Perhaps you are conveying to me that your first language is also not English & seems you misunderstood my entire message for Jerry? ....you are most certainly entitled to share your opinion & God Bless you but Jerry & I go way back to his very first day here at Worthy and we have had many a conversation & discussion.........I am very aware of what Jerry's first language is and we have been over this many times

It is not about what gifts I do or do not have,it is not about limiting God,which I do not do in any way ,shape or form .....God is able to do ALL things exceedingly,abundantly & beyond ANYTHING we could ask or even think.......According to the Power that works in us(Eph 3:20).....yes,according to the Power that works in us,,,,,,,,as a born again believer in Christ Jesus we are indwelled with the Holy Spirit.......we have access to that Power as we walk in spirit & in truth & we can pray for discernment by that Power

As I have said & you & Jerry can heed this warning or not ,,,,,,but it is Gods Word,,,,,,,

I will not say I'm sorry for what I have done, for I am not. Instead, I will say I am sorry that you feel this way.

I never thought that you are against Jerry. I know you are helping him and love him, so why would I think that? In fact, who would? My question is, does Jerry need to have an opposition before I can show my support for him? He needed someone by his side, to explain things for him -- to help him in his expression -- and that's the need I saw.

And yes, English is not my native language, only my second one, but this doesn't mean that I don't understand it very well, especially in written form. And no, I did not misunderstood your message to Jerry; like I said, I never thought that you were against him.

And true, you and Jerry go a long way, and I am only a newcomer, but does this have to be an issue? Am I less credible to help him because I know him less?

And about all the other things you mentioned about me, it's clear that your mind is closed about them and would accept no correction, and so I will not even try to defend myself.

But please, Sister, don't ever say that I am in confusion whether I do hear God's voice or not. Because like you, I too "do not appreciate it when anyone assumes what they think I may or may not have gone through."

I will leave you with this to think about: There is more to evangelism and discipleship than just preaching the Word of God. You also have to understand how the world works, how people think, how they feel, how they were brougt up, what their beliefs are, etc. In short, you also have to know and consider their cultures. Or else, if you are ignorant of these things and don't know how to relate to them, then you are just another "Bible-thumping preacher" to them who doesn't understand their real lives.

I myself was evangelized by people like this, and their efforts had produced more harm than good. In fact, I became an agnostic, though when they first found me I was very open to the Word. I know what I am talking about, Sister. So please, trust me on this.

I love you, and I would hate it if we are to quarrel.

This used to bother me-but a preacher one time, preached this awesome message-and taught me this important concept. Its called "actively waiting" It means instead of sitting there twiddling your thumbs while your waiting on God-go out and do something. Be mindful and in constant prayer for Gods call-but in the meantime, find something to do in His name. Ive been doing this for quite awhile, and quite honestly I think it sort of is my calling. No matter where I am-be it church work or whatever, Ive always been one of those jack of all trades-I fill in the gaps basically, when theres a need and not enough people to do it, I come in and fill it. Ive come to peace with perhaps thats exactly what God wants of me-he wants me to fill in the gaps.

I'd read a book series once, about a man who also waited for God's call to come. He wanted to be a missionary, like his best friend. But the call never came, and he was needed to manage their family's farm besides.

Years passed.

Then one day their pastor talked to him and made him understand that perhaps being a farmer itself was his calling, and not being a missionary.

And as a farmer he could still do something for God and for the Kingdom: financially support the missionaries.

So that's what he did

And please, read carefully also my post. I never accused you of being a Bible-thumping preacher. I said that IF you know so little about other people's culture, then to THEM you are like that -- just another Bible-thumping preacher. I was only sharing with you what other people think to those who preach and preach from the Bible but who could never touch their lives, because they know so little of them.

There have been some serious misunderstandings on this thread, and I would like to say again a few words to try to shed some light on this confusion.

One of my own advice to Jerry is to learn discernment because not all of the voices we hear come from God. Therefore, I too am an advocate of "testing the spirits." No argument there from me.

However, I do not believe that confusion is not part of how God works with us. I believe that Jerry's confusion over these voices he hears and dreams he's been having are just natural -- just part of the learning process of discovering how his gifts work, and just part of growing up spiritually. Like I said, I've been in their shoes, so I know what's it like.... (God seldom, if ever, talk to me in dreams, but I do hear his voice in my everyday living.)

Another point: We do have to consider language barriers. God's help come in many forms and in many ways -- why not a "destiny helper," as Jerry puts it. We as children of God help each other in need, so why can't we be called "destiny helpers" to each other? Words are just the expressions of our thoughts, and for someone who is struggling with English like Jerry, we need to look beyond his words and try to understand the thoughts he is trying to convey.

Yet another point: We certainly do need to consider culture in our evangelism of unbelievers and of our discipleship of each other. Remember, anyone who comes to Christ is not immediately a saint; we all need to grow up spiritually, and to shed our old ways of life. Applying this then, when we talk or minister to someone who is less matured than us, we must not therefore immediately measure their culture-influenced words and actions against the highest standards of the Scriptures. Instead, we must lead them just like how the Holy Spirit works in us -- gently, slowly, lovingly, and full of understanding.

Brothers and Sisters, one of the passions that God has put into my life is to understand people as much as I can -- both believers and unbelievers -- so that I can teach them and lead them closer to God in ways they would really understand and relate to. With my posts on this thread, I've only been trying to share with you all some of the things that I've already learned so far.

in my walking relationship with God,and my christian life,

Yes no doubt about that, english is not my native language,

but i always try my best,and i always ask God to grant anybody that will look into my post,

the grace to understand my english,

Travelling is part of experience,

the way you guys pratice christianity here is different from,

the way we pratice it my country,

The teaching,the way of believing,the culture,is total difference,

in my country,we have believer,we have christian,we have born again,

the best among the three,is when you become born again,

I believe Dak was very correct,

about what he says about someone culture,

in my village it is a taboo for a born again to drink alcohol,talkless of smoking,but a christian can drink and smoke,

if you ask him,he will simple tell you that he is not born again,,

In my church,nobody is permmited to ask a question,during church service,

and sometime my inability to speak eloquently hinder me from asking a question one on one,

But here i always feel free to ask question,

So iam always open to correction,

that will help my walking relationship with God,

this site is my sceond church,

God directed me to this site for a purpose,

and one of those purpose is to learn,

on how to walk with God

there something inside me that iam yet to understand,

but people are seeing those gift

When you guys see me asking question or posting a thread here,

iam only looking for confidence and encouragement,and the right word to use,

i was not previlege to go to school,

I knew where God called me out from,

and i have been thinking of one thing,

which somebody like me may find it difficult to do,

Let me share this story with you guys here,

There was a day a woman came to my house,very early in the morning,

she told me that God sent her to me, that i should come and pray for her sick son,

I was confused,because the woman was very bold,

i wanted to call my pastor,but a voice kept on telling me to follow her,

I followed her,when i got to her house, the boy was feeling very hot, I layed my hand on the boy,

after praying i left,when i came back from work,

the woman and her husband and the little boy,

came to thank me,

the boy was very okay,

on 27th" of may 2013"

God single handedly brought me out of the pit of bondage,

so iam on learning process on how to walk with God,

When ever iam in a programe or in a church service,iam always focuse because i want to learn,

in many occasion in the dreamed,i have seen myself speaking in tongue and preaching in a large congregation,

but i have never speak in tongue before,

and i don't even have all it take to preach in the public,

There was a time a preach walk up to me in the church, and asked me,

Do you know that you are a chosen vessel,

I was just asking myself,what is the meaning of a chosen vessel,

because i can't ask the preacher,

Alot of things have been going on in my mind,

which iam finding it hard to share with somebody one on one,

just because i can't speak eloquently,and i did not have the best of education,

The only problem that iam struggling with,

is my mind,i can't control my mind,i have a wandering mind,a thousand voice can speaks to me in a sceonds,alot of thought will be flying in and out of my mind,

How i wish i have the grace and ability to speak

just that my bible told me not to lean on my own understanding,

I don't need to hear the voice of God to tell me what is bad and what is good,

I know that with my common sense,

Iam talking about a situation,where a voice will be telling you to go and pay a certain woman children school feels,or to go and sow a seed of money to a particular servant of God,or to take a costly shoe you just bought to go and give to someone,or a voice will be telling you to go and stand at a particular junction road,at a particular time,

There was the one i obey,i went to a particular junction road,that the voice instructed me to go,

it was after two hours,that somebody walk up to me,and told me to help him with some of money,

I asked him how much he told me,and i gave him the money,

and he told me God bless you,

When he wanted to leave,I ask him,

have you ask any body for help before you meet me here,

he said no,

I ask him, how come you just came direct to me,

he told me blodly,

God doesn't make mistake,

In many occasion i have ignore this voice,

When ever i ask or post a thread here,

I will prefer people to hit the point,by answering the question directly,

beating around the busy or preaching long sermon will not help matter,

He who knows it feel it,

All i want is what will help my confidence,not long sermon that will make me to lack confidence,

You are very good in pointing out false prophet and even quoting scripture that talks about false prophet,

Is there no scripture that talks about good servant of God?
