NO, being gay is not O.K. with the Lord. Jesus sets us free from bondage to sin.

Let's equate all sin and bondage to sinful things to the land of Egypt. Before we are covered by the blood we have the sentence of death hanging over us. We can't leave Egypy or live unless the blood has been applied.

However, when the blood is applied to our lives we are spared and we are set free. No longer slaves to the bondage of sin. Jesus washed us clean at the cross of Calvary by His own blood.

Jesus died on the cross at calvary to give us life. We cannot stay in Egypt and live. We must come out from among them and be seperate. We were once enslaved to sin. When we are born again we no longer practice sin, nor do we want to. Yes, we can give in to our flesh or temptation, but it is no longer our nature to do so because we have been given a new nature, that of the Spirit of God and we don't desire to live sinful lives anymore. We no longer look for loop holes to practice something sinful, and if we do the Holy Spirit will convict us so we will repent of it and get free. We have a heavenly Father that will forgive us if we repent.

Our home is no longer in Egypt, we have a heavenly citizenship now.

Ye must be born again...John 3:3

Lnknprkn you said :

"i would say that you were born gay, and that its a genetic thing, so i dont see why she should be punished for something she could prevent. free will does come into play, but u dont have the free will to be born a girl or boy, for example

IT JUST HAPPENS"

Yup, i agree that homosexuality is a choice. Due to genetic factors some people may have an odd combination of chromosomes like XXY or XYY instead of the normal XX for women and XY for men. That just means that a person might be more feminine than other ''normal'' men or a woman might be more masculine than other ''normal'' females, with hormone imbalances, etc. But whether we choose to act on that depends on ourselves. I'm a born again christian who is clinically depressed which is also a hormone imbalance. So if I kill or neglect myself now and commit the sin of destroying the life that belongs to the Creator, would you, lnknprkn say it ''just happened''?? I have a choice and I chose God's righteous way. Similarliy any person with a slightly mutated chromosome has the choice of making Jesus smile or cry.

Such a hotbed issue in Christianity right now.

I think the best way to reach your sister is with love and truth. Preach the truth to her, that homosexuality is a sin and it's a very explicit sin in the Bible, but do so in a loving way. Throwing a bible at her head won't do her any good...but neither will inaction.

No, being gay is wrong for a Christian. It is a sin, just like lying, stealing, murder, adultery, etc. How do we deal with those things? If your sister in the Lord was stealing, or planning on murdering someone, you would comfront them, and rebuke them. Because it is wrong. We ARE to judge each other. As Christians we are to keep our body strong and that unfortunately sometimes includes having to go to people, in love, and telling them, and showing them in God's Word where they are going wrong. It is out of love, just as when your children do something wrong, they need to be rebuked and disciplined. You don't do it because you hate them or are trying to be better than them, you do it because you love them.

I will pray for your sister and pray she accepts your words and not reject them! God Bless.

Dear Wouldhe,

Thank you for your response. I believe God loves all. I also get confussed by if He loves all than why is homosexuality a sin? I talked to my sister about it and she told me God loves and accepts everyone. This is where it gets confussing to me. I just recently started studying and learning the christian ways, this is why I ask. Thank you!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
