My perception of England is that the church is very small though very concentrated in power. Admittedly, I get that latter idea from the worship music coming out of the UK

Signs of christianity in public life are quite a bit more subdued and the spirit of "religion" (rather than a vibrant relationship) seems especially heavy because it is ancient there. There is ONE christian magazine in all of Europe and it comes out of London (CrossRhythms) but they are in danger of going out of business for lack of christians who are interested in reading.

Every Brit seems to know the history of God but few know the God of history. America has our own blight with decadance beyond any other nation...so I'm not blindly criticizing England, ok? That's just what it looks like from here.

and the BBC?

They are one of THE WORST when reporting on Israel.

They are oh-so-subtle but deceptive in the slant they use.

Well, I shouldn't have made such a broad generalization. I apologize. However, the perception over here of Europe is that many of them (younger generation) are simply ignorant to how the US media works or even how the US works. I don't think they understand that our media is fairly liberal and anti-Israel.

Yeah, well this question ought to have gotten us suspicious of him in the first place:

3. If the arabs are muslims, then its them saying "God says its our land!" and its you saying the same, no one gets anywhere, so who is right? which god is right

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

A Christian questioning "which god is right"?

I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!

No apology needed Super Jew I was smiling to myself as I wrote it.

The BBC is generally diabolical in its reporting of Israel and as people said...there is a great insidious subltety in their reporting that smothers the truth and presents an extremely lop-sided picture of the facts and the history of events.

The British have always been known to support the underdog and the Arabs have realised the strengths and weaknesses of this nationalist character trait and exploited it to the full over the last couple of centuries.

Also the history of the British in Palestine prior to Israeli independence in 1948 is a generally a disgraceful catalogue of betrayal and underhandedness favouring the Arabs and cutting deals that benefit Britain rather than others...be they Jew or Arab...and I am afraid this attitude is still prevalent...perhaps that is why the UK has not yet incurred her 9/11 experience...but I fear government policy and political ignorance regarding the Middle-East will catapult certain disaster upon our pro-European community unless G-d brings Britain to her knees.

There is an awful ignorance in a great deal of the UK churches...and even many of those that have thriving ministries and outstanding worship and are such benefit in the community...even the majority of these are pregnant with 'replacement theology' and need the convicting presence of the Holy Ghost to wake them up to G-ds purposes in raising Israel as a banner to the nations...and get them interested in supporting their Messianic brethren...or even acknowledging them.

and that description seems to fit our new "friend" except he's not sure which god is God.

To be honest i dont think much of England either. Its going downhill and its led by an idiot who doesn't pay enough attention to home affairs. I think Jack Straw (foreign secretary, apporixamtley no.3 in the government) is a better man to lead my country. I hold no national pride so dont worry about critisising England. The only good trait the English have is self control in political debates; few people shout on TV, a general air of stand-offish people, we're excentric.

The BBC is generally diabolical in its reporting of Israel and as people said...there is a great insidious subltety in their reporting that smothers the truth and presents an extremely lop-sided picture of the facts and the history of events

Well, i agree more with your second sentence. The BBC is adept at reporting global news, but, of course the 'attidtude' and mood it sheds on the stories are, of course, questionable.

Interesting he hasn't written anything since I mentioned he's probably Muslim!

I was on holiday.

But im still not a muslim [terrorist] and may i make these few points on islam.

I think there are many areas, which Christianity and Islam agree on. Women should dress modestly, and we should live a life in holiness and submission to God's will, and to quote the Koran

"A good word is like a good tree whose root is firmly fixed, and whose branches reach to heaven; bearing fruit in all seasons by the permision of its Lord" Qur'an 14:245

I think this is much like the passage in Galatians on the fruits of the spirit, i cant remember the reference, but i know it by heart, my father taught it to me as a child:

"The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithefulness, and self control. Against these there is now law," (NIV)

Prayer and worship are pleasing to the lord also: Islam/christianity

Those are good things in both Islam and christianity

These (listed below) are bad things in islam/christianity

Lying, stealing, disrespect of parents, extra-marital affairs, drugs, alcohol, gambling. Why? because they are harmful, and Allah/God doesn't want to see us harmed if he chooses to help it.

Where Islam strays, distanceing itself from christianity, catastrophically is the definition of a martyr:

Christianity: Gets killed for their beleifs

Islam: Gets killed, whilst killing others GENERALLY

So when a suicide bomber blows up [another] bus in Tel Aviv, im not nodding my head in agreement, im despairing at their defenition of a martyr.

Errr . . .

Daniel -

Christianity and Islam differ in our core beliefs.

Islam believes Jesus was just a man who was a great prophet.

Christianity believes Jesus is God incarnate, God the Son, the Word made flesh who dwelt among us, the Light of the world.

Islam believes Jesus was martyred and was buried and that's it.

Christianity believes Jesus gave His life as the final atonement for our sin, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and that He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven.

Islam follows Muhammed.

Christianity does not follow Muhammed - nor do we regard him.

Ok, you are not a terrorist. Are you a "non-terrorist" muslim? Given the other things you have said in your post regarding the quran and comparing it to the bible, you seem to have some islamic sympathies. That would explain your views towards Jews, and Israel.

I think there are many areas, which Christianity and Islam agree on.

There is one huge difference: The only way to God is through belief in the Lord Jesus. Islam denies this. Islam leads to eternal death.

Where Islam strays, distanceing itself from christianity, catastrophically is the definition of a martyr:

Where Islam strays is listed above. Jesus is the Son of God, God Himself, who came here to die for our sins, being the blood atoning sacrifice to get us to heaven. Islam calls Him a mere prophet. That is a fatal error in Islam. That error will lead to eternal death.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
