His Servant,

Thank you for that loving affirmation. It really touched my heart. My kids went over to their Grandfathers house today with my husband, and I quizzed him backwards about what my dad did and said.

My husband didn't really believe believe the torture stories I had shared with him, until one day my hubby was at my Mums house fixing her computer and she shared with him all that she knew about what Dad inflicted upon my 6 siblings and me in particular. It has enabled my Hubby to be blessed with a greater appreciation of how much I have changed since I met Jesus.

Our Lord Jesus is the Great Healer and only He could have enabled me to be where I am. I tried suicide a few times, but His greater purpose for my life, prevented the horrible outcome and to be quite honest, I am REALLY glad He saved me.

Thanks again HS :emot-highfive:

:emot-highfive: Since I accepted God into my life, my life has been better. My days are filled with joy and hope, and my relationship with my husband is stronger everyday. I have noticed a change in my attitude and my outlook on life. I have tried (to a point) and thought about suicide so many times before because I was so depressed about really nothing and I don't have those thoughts anymore. I have stopped drinking, my husband and I are trying for a family again and life just feels better. My husband hates when I say this but I believe that God sent him down for me and that he is my guardian angel. it makes him blush :emot-highfive: .

darkest red,

You said you didn't have an amazing story like the rest of us, but I think that is pretty amazing indeed!  Being raised up in a christianly family is definitely an amazing thing today, and I know it must have been such a blessing!  Your testimony is equally amazing!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Thank you :24: I am so glad I was brought up in a Christian family.

I got saved when I was 6. I was camping with my family. We made camp by this other family, who went to a church that was actually, really close to my house. I was riding my bike, and I saw a girl standing outside reading. I walked over to her and introduced myself. Well, she was telling me about her church. Then my dad came over and told me to come back. At the same time her dad came out of the tent to tell her to come in. They introduced themselves and started talking. Then Rachel and I went to ride bikes. We were 6 years old at the time. So Rachel's parents invited us to their church. We didn't have a car at the time so they started giving us rides. After maybe 2 months we stopped going. I really didn't know what it meant. We went for a few months, but started drifting. Sooner or later, we stopped going to church.

As the years went by, I started using cuss words and a whole bunch of stuff. And then in 6th grade, I was still not going to church. I went every Sunday with some friends of the family, but I never listened. I would just look like I was paying attention. Then the Harry Potter books came out. I started reading them and stuff and I started getting really "into" Harry Potter. My entire room was decorated with it. And then I started imagining that I was actually in the Harry Potter books. After awhile, I wasn't imagining anymore. I started doing witchcraft and no one knew. I was reading horoscopes, I was supposedly casting spells. And those "spells" actually worked. Well, this went on until 8th grade. My ex-boyfriend was harrassing me and I started going into depression. I wanted to kill myself. I couldn't take it. My sister-in-law brought me to her house and she took care of me. I was really considering "cursing" Garrett and I would've too but something was stopping me. Well, one night, my sister-in-law took me to church. I didn't recognize it, it seemed so diffrent from when I was little. At class that night the Youth Preacher was talking about suicidal people and that actually caught my attention. I got rededicated that night and have been a Christian since. Rachel and I are still friends, but we don't talk much. She never knew that I did witchcraft and I never told her. I'm not at that church anymore, but I'll never forget that night. I stopped the witchcraft and everything and life is good and I really Thank the Lord for that.

You wanted to know how God has changed my life since I got saved, and that's how.

Things are different now, Something happened to me

When I gave my heart to Jesus.

Things are different now; I was changed, it must be,

When I gave me heart to Him.

Things I loved before have passed away

Things I loved far more have come to stay.

Things are different now, Something happened that day

When I gave my heart to Him.

Jesus took my burden all away!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
