An Oregon administrative law judge ruled on Jan. 29 that the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa did, in fact, discriminate in 2013 when they declined to provide a wedding cake for a lesbian couple because it would have violated their Christian beliefs against same-sex marriage.

 

The judge’s ruling paves the way for a March 10 hearing at which the Christian business owners could be ordered to pay $200,000 in fines and damages.

“You cannot discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation,” Paul Thompson, the attorney representing the lesbian couple, told The Oregonian. “The entire time, I felt the law was very much on our side because the law is black and white.”

 

This shows how perverted our legal system has become.   This is not an act of discrimination.

 

First of all there is no such thing as "sexual orientation."   No one deserves special rights or minority status based on how they choose to have sex.   That's just insane.   And it is an insult to true minorities like African Americans and their civil rights struggle.   To put gay people on the same level and treat their sexuality as if it were akin to race is tragic,  to say the least.

 

Refusing to make a "gay" wedding cake on the grounds that it violates one's religious convictions doesn't realistically rise to the level of discrimination.  Religious convictions trump sexual preference (in a world where intelligent people are running the show).  

 

Now if the gay couple came into the bakery and discovered that the bakery had a policy that gays would not be served whatsever, if the gay couple simply wanted to buy a dozen donuts or some bagels, and the store owner said that he would not serve them at all because they were gay, that's a different story.  Religious conviction would not hold sway.   But that's not what happened in this case.  The Kleins did not deny service to the couple because they were gay.

 

If the gay couple simply wanted a cake, like say, a birthday cake or a cake for some other occastion like an office party, it doesn't appear that the Kleins would have objected.  But again, that isn't what happened.

 

What the homosexual community is doing is targeting Christian owned bakeries and forcing Christians into a corner.   They are throwing their homosexuality in Christians' faces and forcing them to either violate their religious convictions or get in trouble with the government.  It is an attack on Christianity.   

 

It used to be that gays simply wanted to be left alone to do their perverted, disgusting lifestyle in the privacy of their own homes, but now they are out to force it on everyone else and they are attempting to force acceptance of their lifestyle.   Tolerance is no longer enough.

This sin continues, particularly because of the current President siding with these sins, and much of the church being silent on this and many other sinful issues.

 

Preachers need to get back to preaching the Gospel in it's fullness, and not the smorgasbord preachers that many have become.

 

In a similar case, another Christian florist is being sued for the same reasons.

This also applies towards Shiloh's cake example from post #2:

This homosexual man was already a floral customer of hers, but when it came to the Christian florist being given the specifics this time of flowers being sold for a false homosexual “wedding” she would not comply.

“I just took his hands and said, ‘I’m sorry. I cannot do your wedding because of my relationship with Jesus Christ,’” Stutzman told reporters.”

 

We regularly pray for and reach out to the lost, including those in the LGBT community.

We know their eternal destination of Hell without Christ.

 

As these sins continue to be “accepted” they will build a temporary foundation for other sins to be considered “normal.”

 

Soon I believe it will become a longer acronym, adding IPB, that being incest, pedophilia, and bestiality. In fact, there are many "inroads" already in this direction.

Oh I know I already came across 2 articles about pedophiles wanting the same rights as gays which is shameful. I strongly believe that people should not be forced to pay 150,000 or 200,000 bucks because they live according to their religious convictions. I mean what is the point of having that freedom and right in the constitution if  its only going to be done away with?

You are correct, Coffeespiller.  There is an attempt by advocates of pedophilia to have it viewed as a legitimate sexual preference and to get the laws changed to make it legal.

Homosexuals can't reproduce, they can only recruit, which is why they are trying so hard to normalize their behavior.  They want to be able to recruit younger, more impressionable young children into the lifestyle so it will continue.

 

Homosexual and Pedophilia advocates want the freedom to molest our children's minds and turn them into sexual objects.

 

That is why the homosexual lobby is promoting "safe" sex practices by demonstrating the use of alternative sexual devices/methods in front of our children as young as Kindergarten.

The gay marriage laws have included the non discrimination language in them. They think that race equality has succeded due to "conditioning". So eventually we can be "conditioned" like mice to accept their sin. This world feels less and less like home.

And yes, I also read that the pedophiles see this as a green light to make similar laws and propaganda.
