I see nothing wrong with eating bugs - however I smell a rat with this agenda. As Shiloh says, it's not about additional food sources, it's something political.

If somebody wants people to eat insects then just use good old-fashioned free enterprise, market them and sell them. If people want them, they'll buy them. I have no problems with using these things for food, but I do have a problem with people twisting the truth by claiming that it's necessary when it isn't or by pushing it using news articles. Just let Kellogs, or whoever it is that interested sell them if they want.

If there is really an agenda, the poor guys wouldn't have needed to use Kickstarter to fund their project, they would've been fully funded by the people who have the agenda.

It is normal/recommended for Kickstarter project to generate publicity on the news so people are aware of their project and potentially fund it. Most Kickstarters have no budget to afford advertisement, therefore generating news on news sites is the only affordable way to promote their product. I find that believing, a few person team that as of now couldn't get $10,000 to fund their product, as an world dominating agenda is product of over active imagination.

Kickstarter is 100% pure free enterprise.

This is not about a few guys, this is coming from the United Nations, of all places.   jade posted a previous article about that.   There is an UN agenda to change this country and it is not for the better.

It's the countries that have to resort to eating bugs that  the UN needs to enact changes in, instead of trying to encourage America to eat bugs.

Where did it said about UN? I only see a link regarding a Kickstarter.

"A London-based company is raising money via Kickstarter to launch a cricket protein bar, called the Crobar."

Is what i see. That news site is awful...always force me to answer survey questions before allow me to read beyond the first couple sentences. Have they no shame.

Again, udx,   Jade posted a previous article on the same topic and it  is a UN based agenda. It's in the "John the Baptist's Breakfast"  thread.  I don't know about these guys, but they are not the only ones, promoting this nonsense.  It is apparently a global agenda.

I think this is a broad generalization then. From the article, it in no way shows they are part of the agenda. Just because they promote something that UN piggyback on for their own purposes doesn't mean they are promoting the agenda.

Just like not all environmentalist are out for global control. Governments may use environmental issues as a way for global domination, but it doesn't mean the environmentalist themselves have an agenda for global control.. Should make a distinction.

There are bunch of bugs in processed foods anyhow. I find it ironic people are so worked up about this insect bar then go back to eat their processed foods.

"Buy a piece of fruit covered in fruit flies, and you can wash them off. Buy a can of citrus juice, and you’ll be swilling five fruit flies with every 8-ounce cup of juice. Grab an 8-ounce handful of raisins and you could be eating as many as 35 fruit-fly eggs.V"

"These tiny white bugs are common in wheat and other grains that have been stored for a while, but expect to eat a few with your frozen vegetables. And if you haveindoor allergies, that could be a problem"

"If you’ve ever eaten canned food, you’ve probably also eaten a maggot. These disgusting little critters abound in things like canned mushrooms, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and pizza sauces, as well as fresh, frozen, or Maraschino cherries. Mushrooms are by far the worst: 20 maggots are allowed for every 100 grams of drained mushroom, compared with between 1 and 5 for every 500 grams of tomato products."

Sorry, if I gross any of you out, just stating the facts.

I have never witnessed any bugs in any cans of food I have eaten.  I am sure some have probably made it into cans here and there, but it is not an every day occurrence and cannot possibly be comparable to some silly notion that we should all start eating bugs.

And I don't think it is something the UN is piggy backing on.  I think it is the other way around.   Normal thinking people in the US won't be buying into this nonsense any way soon.  If some wackos want to eat bugs, that's there business and they should just keep it to themselves and not try entice us to join them in their silliness.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
