Add into that the national ridicule and humiliation? Seems to me fines and jail time are doing nothing more then excessive. Kinda like kicking a guy while he's down if you ask me. P.s. I still remember my husband trying to feed a baby rattlesnake into a bottle! It backed out faster than he could put it in. He wasn't bit but only by God's grace!
