I knew Darrell in the late 80s pretty well...back when Pantera was a glam-rock band. His dad, Jerry, produced them and he also produced a record for my rock band. I produced a video of Pantera back when Darrell was still a skinny kid in spandex. He even went to school dressed like that! Even then, Darrell was one of the fastest guitar players in the world and everyone knew it.

But since I was an atheist I never saw them after they replaced Terry Lee with Phil Anselmo. He was a satanist and I wasn't into religious music.

But I would see him at guitar shows and he was always the same humble guy that I used to know. I prayed for him very regularly.

What a waste that was...

I now pray that this will change the heart of Vinny Paul and Jerry.

My wife met Karen and Richard Carpenter when she was in Colorado. They were at the Air Force Academy giving a concert and my wife's choir from school sang back up for them. She has an autograped picture of Karen. She is one of my wife's favorite singers. They were very nice to all the kids and spent some extra time with them after the preformance. It is such a shame that she died so young and with what we know now, she may have been able to beat her disorder before it cosumed her.

I walked right past Tom Sellek when he was in Melbourne, Australia in 1988. He was with his wife and he had a broken arm. He is VERY tall and very handsome. Frank Abagnale Jr. - Catch Me if You Can emailed me in response to a question I had about the movie. I managed to track down his personal email address (I have contacts ) and he was very positive and very encouraging.

oh yes forgot Wayne Newton Hubby was a part of his show one night, it was a real treat for hubby and I had a fun time watching it and it was a great evening.........

And Mike Warnekie (sp) befor his fall.

Talked to Jimmy Swaggert on the phone once I called the orginization for a tape I wanted to order and He answered the phone blew me away.........

he ask me waht number i had dieled and so I told him seems I was one number off and actually got the back offices he ask if I was saved told him yes ask what church told him ask if I had ever been to one of his crusades told him no but watched him on tv hence ordering the tape. it was called Apple of God's eye = very good and still have it. anyway we talked for about 20 minutes and it was a nice experience . a few years later he was caught - well you know......

not a meeting but my first hubby was once ingaged to lindsy wagner they went to school together in portland became ingaged she went to hollywood for some little part in a tv show stayed there and broke off ingagement
