I think Walker is trying to get some attention in the media.....he surely needs some considering he has dropped about 18 points in the polls since early August. Is the board between Canada and the U.S. really not a threat? It is pretty open.Yes, it's quite open. But we are not threatened by thousands of marauding Canadians so why would we (or they) spend the money to build a wall? It's called the longest peaceful border in the world for a reason. As B.E. rightfully pointed out, our economies are mutually beneficial and intertwined. Mexico on the other hand......they are a drain on the U.S. Actually the NAFTA already is in existence for Canada, U.S. and Mexico and most of us do not want to go to the U.S. except to shop...and return to the safety of our own homes. We are not seeking a better life as the poor in lands to the South of the U.S. are.

The U.S. and Canada have a great relationship and just wanted to say .... been a mutual fondness & hospitality between the people of these two countries. Always been treated like a long lost cousin when we've been south of the border. So you're Canadian then, Davida? When Canadians come to the U.S., most of the time, we can't even tell they're not American. When I've been in Canada, it's almost exactly like being here. No, I don't see the necessity for any kind of wall there.
Guest shiloh357
I have been to Canada too. No culture shock. Learned a little French too. You have to because everything is in English and French up there. They have pretty much everything we have. Good fishing spots, too.

I know things are super high in Vancouver but I don't know if that place is reflective of the whole country. I had very limited visits to Toronto back in the mid 80's, but I don't remember much about prices except for gasoline. The high prices for gasoline is the tax structure there. Like Europe, they tax gasoline to death.

Any Canadians here concur? My house would be worth three times as much in Ontario, by my own figuring that is.
