I am not happy to read this stuff.. but the title is made me very angry.. 

Jesus cross was a failure?

Is he is with truth? is he know the truth who commented like this?

God can judge on him..

Saints please unite to pray for this sad person to come to truth

I agree with you peacemaker ,some christians act like 'gangsters trying to trap people ,as they slip up .

I have started to pray for this pope as I think he is a well meaning man who is overwhelmed by the job he has .

We should be more charitable while we try to find the truth .It is evident that the title is exaggerated ,but I have to say he is very careless in how he communicates .I hope he will explain clearly once he gets back .

Apparently the above headline was a false news report-- My apologies. Not far fetched though, because of his cozying up to Islamic leaders and saying Islam is peaceful religion while keeping silent about  the Christian genocide that has been taking place.

Read some creepy stuff on a site that debunked the Koran & Bible report but said  Pontiff opening up Priesthood to homosexuals -- is that true?

 

Utter nonsense this idea about the Pope opening up the priesthood to homosexuals .Nothing could be further from the truth . But it does not do well for the cause of some of  those who should know better and give a bd example of christians on this site .Lies and distortions .

On Wednesday the Bishop Of Rome addressed 11,000 ticketed guests on the South Lawn of the White House, during which he pontificated on the dire importance of exhibiting religious tolerance. During his hour-long speech, a smiling Pope Francis was quoted telling the White House guests that the Koran, and the spiritual teachings contained therein, are just as valid as the Holy Bible, and should therefore be respected as such.

“Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world. For centuries, blood has been needlessly shed because of the desire to segregate our faiths. This, however, should be the very concept which unites us as people, as nations, and as a world bound by faith. Together, we can bring about an unprecedented age of peace, all we need to achieve such a state is respect each others beliefs, for we are all children of God regardless of the name we choose to address him by. We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.”

The pontiff drew harsh criticism last December after photos of the 78-year-old Catholic leader was released depicting Pope Francis kissing a Koran. The Muslim Holy Book was given to Francis during a meeting with Muslim leaders after a lengthy Muslim prayer held at the Vatican.

St. John Paul II has courted several controversies since being elected as Pope Benedicto XVI’s replacement in 2013. Francis has gone on record to say that homosexuals are not to be judged, Proselytism is a fallacy and has endorsed the usage of contraceptive by Catholics.

The Vatican will meet again with Muslim leaders in late October where they plan to talk about further steps that can be taken to spread understanding and awareness of the Islamic religion.

Yeah, the stuff this Pope teaches is straight from Hell.  He is leading people to Hell.

Maybe a good idea to look after your own soul as giving false witness as you often do, is a very serious 'sin' .

I saw on catholic sites that he put an openly pro homosexual man in a position of power. I didnt want to link to them because of the pro catholic stuff on it. The priest equated homosexual acts to the gift of Christ. And the pope approves of this man. It is not a lie or distortion.

Any Holy Spirit filled born again Christian shepherd given an opportunity like that would proclaim the Victory of Jesus Christ on the cross, and use it to call sinners to repentance for their redemption through JESUS' glorious finished work on the cross!  The Holy Spirit within wouldn't allow them to be silent but to preach the Gospel & to give Glory and praise to God.

 

There has never been a holy spirit born again christian shepherd in the office of the papaxy.   Remember Richard Wurmbrand, "Tortured for Christ", and many other witnesses, have found that God could use pharoah of egypt, or leaders of babylon, or worldly traders, as He does sovereignly to direct someone's steps, even though they are not serving Christ with their life.   God used catholics in Richard's life like He can use anyone, but they could not bring Richard to Christ because they were not in Christ.  Similar to saints in the icy mountains of western china - the saints could take refuge at night in the pagan temples of buddha, without becoming pagan themselves.

The whole foundation of the rcc contradicts the Gospel - it is an enemy of the cross.

You have surpassed yourself in you ignorance of history,and your hatred  . By joining this site I now know how deeply ignorant so many protestant evangelicals are .I so wanted it to be different ,but I am now leaving this site .

This is my last post here and may God forgive you for your lies and lack of true research .All the things that I dislike about the RCC are surpassed by what I see here .I see so many who are not christians ,and have little hope o being .  Goodbye ,and may God forgive you .

The keyword here, is the pope said humanly speaking, Jesus failed at the cross, which, from the world's standpoint that is true. From our perspective, the hero should never die-especially willingly.

I certainly have no hatred in my heart towards the Pope or the followers of the RCC. I love Catholics and some very intimately as half my family belongs to either Catholic or Anglican Churches.

Amazing response Thallasa , I guess you didn't want to know the truth if it went against your dearly held opinions and refused to check the Catholic link.    

I am also completely against a lot of Catholic doctrine but I have to state the obvious.  Some here at Worthy, not you especially Davida, are brutal to Catholics and I'm including myself sometimes.  They are Christians, believers the same as the rest of us who simply believe in some extra things.  Thallasa's exit leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I think we all could have done better here, as in expressing things in a kinder way.  Catholics are not the enemy, nor is the Pope.  We need to keep our eyes on the true enemy; the ones praying towards Mecca.

Welcome to the club; I posted the following on the first page of this thread and have been a moving target ever since:

"In only human terms, crucifixion can be seen as the abrupt termination of Christ's earthly ministry. I'm sure the Sanhedrin thought that Jesus had failed -- until they had to forbid their fellow Jews from saying his name in public (Acts 4:17)!!!"

I then spent the next 3 pages arguing whether or not the Pope was justified in calling Muslims our (estranged) brothers and sisters.

From the responses of some posters, I felt as if I was defending the antichrist.

I understand MorningGlory but her response was very immature and haughty and she is the only one who is responsible for it.  I'm not going to feed into the melodrama that someone tries to inject into an adult discussion. People are responsible for their own emotions and responses.  If you can't handle opposing views then you perhaps should not hang out on a Forum that discusses that stuff.  That's the way I see it.  

 

It is her choice to leave Worthy.When someone comes onto a non Catholic Christian message board they need to be prepared to see that many Bible Christians do not adhere to their doctrine.We will always be ready to give our defense of the "true word of God".And that is going to not be what the Catholic wants to see.We can not tiptoe around them.We need to defend God's true Holy Precious word.
