if Israel (Jerusalem) was/is where the Garden was, why are you the first one to ever come up with this theory? don't you think that with all the geologist, and all the others that have done and are doing research and studies on the anchient days would have come to the same conclussion?

I'm not the first! Rabbinical tradition has stated for thousands of years that Eden was originally in Israel. See Here:

http://www.faith-friends.com/Eden/modules....ndex&page_id=21

Conservative evangelical scholar Dr. John Sailhamer has recently published a booked called "Genesis Unbound" where he contends Eden was in the region we understand as Israel. See Here

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/8449/genesis.html

Beloved conservative apologist and scholar Ernest L. Martin believed Eden was in the geographic region of Israel. See Here:

http://askelm.com/doctrine/d040301.htm

Eden is gone from view, not to be seen by man until the Lord God totally restores it.  until then it really does not matter where it was.

I've never suggested Eden could be found today!

as far as the location being of interest, that is fine.  just like the Ark of the Covenant's location being known........ when God says it is time, it will be revealed.

It is time!

I agree that the Lord has buried (or hidden in some other way) Eden - that is, the Garden of Eden. I am not so sure the Old Garden of Eden will ever be restored though.

The garden as it was in Genesis 2-3 will never exist as it did, but Eden's river will flow again.

are you sure about that?

There are new discoveries everyday in the area of archaeology and Biblical studies - why the daunting scepticism?

Even if you could even find the exact spot where the Tree of knowledge of good and evil was placed and point it out to the world and the world would just shrug it off.
I have, read this:

http://www.faith-friends.com/Eden/modules....ndex&page_id=14

those that get too caught up on things, are losing focus on the one that made the things

Jesus said to watch and wait - I happen to believ that biblical studies are part of the watching!

in your opinion, in what way do you really feal that the location of eden matters? no web sites, no books, i am asking in your opinion

I have defined this isue throughout this thread. Read Posts 11, 12, 29, 33, 35, 37, 42, 49, 50

I'm going to repeat what I said earlier:

I agree that the Lord has buried (or hidden in some other way) Eden - that is, the Garden of Eden.

I am not so sure the Old Garden of Eden will ever be restored though.

Here is my reasoning -

Rev. 21:5 - Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."

Rev. 22:1,2 - And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

I would agree, as I stated in my last post! There is, however, a new reality of this garden or orchard that will be realized in the Millennial Kingdom. This is the fulfillment of

Sorry, I don't have time to read this web page you keep advertising . . . But what is your Scriptural bases for claiming this is Eden's river?  I see no mention of Eden in Ezek. 4. And didn't Eden have more than one river?

Dear nebula - The information you want is on the link. I see no reason why I should re-write the article here for your benifit.

All right - I went to your link -

And I still saw nothing that says why the river in Genesis is Eden's river.

I only saw "here's a verse" and "here's a verse" with the assumption of them being the same, but nothing that clearly states where the claim that the river in Revelation and in Ezekiel are the river in Eden comes from.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
