To begin with on an entirely different topic, in dealing with the American budget the United States Congress learned a thing or two from the infamous Entenmann's Shim Sham (one of the oldest baker's grifts on the books according to an old Seinfeld script... oh how art imitates life sometimes). About that time in the 1990's the late Christian financial consultant Larry Burkett tried to expose the Congressional practice of "off-line budgeting." This is where vast amounts of debt were set aside, not accounted for in regular budgeting committees, and were totally forgotten when submitting and passing the official American budget. This was to give the appearance to the voters and the taxpayers and the world that the American budget was balanced. When in reality, some 7 trillion dollars in debt was Shim Shammed.

This was what came up in 2007-2008 that sent the American economy in a tailspin.

 

Larry Burkett went home to be with the Lord in 2003.

For all its complexity, the entire system of economics is based on common perception.

Now the people who have long entangled the system into a money-making scheme for their exclusive group would no doubt balk and bring the world to its knees rather than allow this to happen, but if we based the world's economic system on the betterment of the world, its infrastructure, and in individual advancement in knowledge and rewarding people for actually giving back... then everything along those lines would be a money maker for all.

Fair market free enterprise.

This is the greatest threat to the "powers that be." They not only want it all, they want what others could have, and eventually all that others do have.

GREED.

And the irony is (according to scripture) wealth is deceitful.

The greatest deception of wealth is that it destroys the value of what you already have.
