In mount Sinai or the Law of Moses God separated the seed of Jacob from all the other seed of Abraham, and with his Promish to Abraham he inform that the Promish sees won't come from those of the servanthood that had joint the Abrahamic seed and were his children as well, and there in the dessert Moses declare that neither I nor Aaron is this Promish seed, but someone else that will come later on.

Later he is telling us that Samuel is not that Promish seed, cause the Promish seed wil come from David, so David is not the one, then he is telling us that a new Brance will come out of the root of Jesse, kind of questioning even David, and David call his Lord God the Christ, confuse people further. And mentioning Bethlehem , is telling people not from the Aaronic line, and saying he can not find anyone, to fullfiled that Role, and the Lord has prepare a body for that proose and the promises in Isaiah and Jeremiah 1:5, all those pointed that he has not come yet. And the seed of the woman, all puzzle the people, it is easy for us now to see Jesus born from the virgin Mary, with the help of the Holy Spirit but if we leave that time we too will puzzle and perplex looking in the wrong detraction for him.

The people were so perplex, that in spite of the promises that he will come from David, the look to Jonh the Babtis who was from Aaron. Because of his miraculous birth and him offering forgiveness of sins out of the Law. One of the promishes Christ will bring. They did know about the life and the heavenly inheritance, looking only for earthly things, and earthly rain of the Christ.
