I'm going to be honest here. I've seen a number of prayers work miraculously. Some instantly and some over some hours or days.

Then I've seen some prayers that seemed overly carnal to me in the first place and never seemed to work.

Then I've seen some prayers that seem fairly spiritual and unselfish yet never seemed to work. Maybe they did but I just couldn't see the progress that was being made.

My question is, how many of you have seen prayers that worked in obviously miraculous ways? How many of you honestly believe you have seen the power of God work through your own prayer or that of a man, woman or child you personally know?

One man prayed for cancer to leave a boy and it left him the next morning. Doctors called it a "miracle". This man was a Pentecostal pastor and he literally said it was "the most faithless" "unbelieving" "prayer a pastor's ever prayed" and it seemed to work. This same pastor also spoke a miraculous word of knowledge over a deaf man and his daughter in Church. This BOOSTED his faith and he then confidently prayed to end his deafness but it didn't seem to work. Then the next morning the deaf man said he could hear and he heard birds chirping that morning for the first time in years (I think 10 years).

Honestly I've seen most of these sorts of prayers over the net by people like Todd White, Pete Cabrera Jr., and Tom Loud. To me theirs are obviously real but I've seen some obvious fakes too (Benny Hinn and other "megachurch" preachers).

I'm going to say I think the heart is more important than the prayer itself.

I'm going to say the integrity of the heart is what determines whether the prayer is answered or not.

Maybe, despite the pastor's experience, it really is as simple as "when you ask you must believe and not doubt".

God answers some GOOD prayers but then denies other GOOD prayers. Has anyone else seen this?

If so, why do you think that is?

You have to understand when you pray God respond in three ways. No, Yes, and wait. God's way is perfect you're on his timetable. God's never too early or too late. When you pray make sure you are under these requirements.

You're saved

It's effectual according to his Word

Fervent it's sincere not recited and repeated

You're not in sin that is not confessed

You can do all of this and still not get answered Why? Maybe it's the time is not right. Maybe you don't believe he will answer it! You are suppose to pray with utmost confidence it will be answered in due time! My prayer to deliver my cousin from alcohol was answered. GOD didn't answer it immediately so naturally I thought he didn't. I visited him recently and he quit drinking. Patience is key for prayer

I trust in God and His wisdom as far as prayers are concerned. If I second-guess an outcome then my faith is really what is in question and not God.

Welcome world of error ,

Like you I have seen wonderful miracles in some instances and absolutely zilch in others . I have seen miracles through ' prayer and fasting ' and I have seen prayer and fasting ,seem , to fail . I really believe it is totally  up toGods will . We are his creation , he knows what his plans are , and for us Heaven is a reward , the walking from one room to another. .

I will be interested to read , what other people think .

The miracle that blew me away ........ ( there's been a couple )  A lady in our community had broken her neck 12 years earlier , she was bent over , sideways , one half of her body had withered away , the other half had thick knotted muscles , which did most of the work , her head was laying on her shoulder and she looked up at you , with difficulty . I had seen people gasp involuntarily  ,when seeing her .

She was addicted to pain medication , and needed an injection to relax the muscles enough , so she could sleep .

I didn't really know her very well , but she would ring me sometimes ( we both had spinal problems and knew the same doctor etc) she was a Christian .

We arranged to go to a meeting at my church ,  A slight blonde woman , straight as an arrow walked in , I ran over , , , it was L . She told me she had been reading her bible , when she started crying  , and Jesus spoke to her , she spent days crying and going over her life , reading her bible and finally fell asleep , upon waking , she was straight , the withered parts were whole , the thick knotted muscles of her neck and shoulders were normal .

It was quite a sensation in our suburb , I moved away but , as far as I know she's still praising God , I think everyone who saw it , still is .

Big thoughts from all of you.

Manuelf324, thank you for sharing the good turn out with your cousin. I've prayed for my brother concerning some issues and honestly we've seen some progress. I was knee deep in willful sin sometimes but other times I was much less so.

The more I sacrifice, the less patient I feel when starting to pray for things the Bible itself calls good. I just don't understand why they should wait. I really respect those who keep asking God for his best when the timing seems terrible. This is where I struggle to "pray without ceasing".

Petula, that's a testimony like something STRAIGHT out of the New Testament. I want to thank you for sharing it. Thank you Jesus for healing her friend's back and befriending her so intimately. Praise God.

I have prayed, “How can I love my enemies?”, “How can I learn to give you the glory?”, and (to paraphrase): “I’ve been looking for what You are (to God, the Father) in others and it never works out, time and time again…If you would just talk back to me, like a human would…”  All have been answered in rare, dramatic, and surreal ways that would be difficult for others to believe (and too complex to remember all of the details to describe).  I also called out to God to be my Master.  Again, the ways He met me there until He became this would not be believed (and are also part of a deeply personal exchange).

Also, when I was a teenager, I fasted and prayed about a co-worker who was about to kill herself (and asked that I would know how to help her when the time arrived), and I somehow knew the time in the middle of math class, went to the counseling office to get some help, and we found her in the school bathroom, having overdosed on various medications, and she was able to get medical aid.  After that, she was one of my closest friends until we parted ways later in university.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
