Sure enough a few days later sitting in church, I knew from the sermon what it was about. One scripture verse was loud and clear for an answer, to what God meant. The second time was during my class. Again it was a clear intrusive thought. Definately something I was surprised by. By the time I was driving home I understood the answer to. Both times they were thoughts of correcting me on certain things. Hence the surprise. The first time this verse was the answer. Be quick to hear, slow to speak. LOL, I was running at the mouth. The second time , The thought: do not call unclean that which I have made clean. I was very ANTI-CATHOLIC. Could you explain more what you mean by that last statement ? Not sure exactly how it works, but I suppose it is similar to the new speaker systems which can produce, stereo, quadraphonic/surround sound from only one speaker. A devout or a programmed person can be targeted in a shopping mall and told by the voice to do whatever. There's no doubt that fallen angels are eager to use their powers to deceive, but God overrules both angels and corrupt men for the sake of the Gospel to all. I don't doubt that God speaks audibly and in other various ways to people on occasions, even though I have not been personally aware of it. But as some have said, the scriptures are a good guide line for anything both seen and unseen, as used by Christ when faced with temptation. I have since learned that someone else here on this board heard this exact thing at some point in his life. This strengthened me through some future trials. I heard a softer, quieter voice another time. The night my son died. I'll not reveal the details except to say that that one event has given me an assurance all these years, that I will see my son again and that all is well in the universe.
