How are/were the Jews treated in Islamic lands in the past century? How were they treated in Egypt, and Iraq, and Algeria, and Morocco? and Palestine in 1948? Why do you and people like you have such a double standard in making your judgments? One might get the impression of racism: one standard for the Jewish state, and another standard for the Arabic states.

How are Palestinians treated in Saudi Arabia? Do you know?

"How Palestinians are treated in Israel says" that the Jews are no fools. Because if the situation were to be reversed, the Jews would be killed and driven out. The Jews have learned that from experience.

You seem angry, I think I will let it cool out a bit.

Thank you for your responses though.

OK good, then we can continue.  Have you looked into the Deir Yassin Massacre before?

"The attack on Deir Yassin took place after the United Nations proposed on November 29, 1947 (UN Resolution 181) that Palestine be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish one. Jerusalem was to belong to neither state, but was to be administered separately; Deir Yassin lay within the boundaries of the proposed plan for Jerusalem. The Arabs rejected the proposal, and civil war broke out."

In the months leading up to the end of British rule, in a phase of the civil war known as "The Battle of [the] Roads," the Arab League-sponsored Arab Liberation Army (ALA)—composed of Palestinians and other Arabs—attacked Jewish traffic on major roads in an effort to isolate the Jewish communities from each other.[8] The ALA managed to seize several strategic vantage points along the highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv—Jerusalem's sole supply route and link to the western side of the city (where 16 percent of all Jews in Palestine lived)—and began firing on convoys traveling to the city. By March 1948, the road was cut off and Jerusalem was under siege. In response, the Haganah launched Operation Nachshon to break the siege. On April 6, in an effort to secure strategic positions, the Haganah and its strike force, the Palmach, attacked al-Qastal, a village two kilometers north of Deir Yassin overlooking the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway. On April 9, Irgun and Lehi forces attacked nearby Deir Yassin

Thank you for sharing that Wikipedia Article.  I think it is commonly understood that history is written by the victors.  It does not benefit the modern state called Israel to have bad publicity, so often relevant details are conveniently passed over.  Here is a good overview of that day, and lots more details for anyone who is keen on searching things out:

" Early in the morning of Friday, April 9, 1948, commandos of the Irgun, headed by Menachem Begin, and the Stern Gang attacked Deir Yassin, a village with about 750 Palestinian residents. It was several weeks before the end of the British Mandate. The village lay outside of the area that the United Nations recommended be included in a future Jewish State. Deir Yassin had a peaceful reputation and was even said by a Jewish newspaper to have driven out some Arab militants. But it was located on high ground in the corridor between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and one plan, kept secret until years afterwards, called for it to be destroyed and the residents evacuated to make way for a small airfield that would supply the beleaguered Jewish residents of Jerusalem.

By noon over 100 people, half of them women and children, had been systematically murdered. Four commandos died at the hands of resisting Palestinians using old Mausers and muskets. Twenty-five male villagers were loaded into trucks, paraded through the Zakhron Yosef quarter in Jerusalem, and then taken to a stone quarry along the road between Givat Shaul and Deir Yassin and shot to death. The remaining residents were driven to Arab East Jerusalem.

That evening the Irgunists and the Sternists escorted a party of foreign correspondents to a house at Givat Shaul, a nearby Jewish settlement founded in 1906. Over tea and cookies they amplified the details of the operation and justified it, saying Deir Yassin had become a concentration point for Arabs, including Syrians and Iraqis, planning to attack the western suburbs of Jerusalem. They said that 25 members of the Haganah militia had reinforced the attack and claimed that an Arabic-speaking Jew had warned the villagers over a loudspeaker from an armored car. This was duly reported in The New York Times on April 10.

A final body count of 254 was reported by The New York Times on April 13, a day after they were finally buried. By then the leaders of the Haganah had distanced themselves from having participated in the attack and issued a statement denouncing the dissidents of Irgun and the Stern Gang, just as they had after the attack on the King David Hotel in July 1946. A 1987 study undertaken by Birzeit University'sCenter for Research and Documentation of Palestinian Society found "the numbers of those killed does not exceed 120".

The Haganah leaders admitted that the massacre "disgraced the cause of Jewish fighters and dishonored Jewish arms and the Jewish flag." They played down the fact that their militia had reinforced the terrorists' attack, even though they did not participate in the barbarism and looting during the subsequent "mopping up" operations.

They also played down the fact that, in Begin's words, "Deir Yassin was captured with the knowledge of the Haganah and with the approval of its commander" as a part of its "plan for establishing an airfield."

Ben Gurion even sent an apology to King Abdullah of Trans-Jordan. But this horrific act served the future State of Israel well. According to Begin:

  • Arabs throughout the country, induced to believe wild tales of "Irgun butchery," were seized with limitless panic and started to flee for their lives. This mass flight soon developed into a maddened, uncontrollable stampede. The political and economic significance of this development can hardly be overestimated.

Of about 144 houses, 10 were dynamited. The cemetery was later bulldozed and, like hundreds of other Palestinian villages to follow, Deir Yassin was wiped off the map. By September, Orthodox Jewish immigrants from Poland, Rumania, and Slovakia were settled there over the objections of Martin Buber, Cecil Roth and other Jewish leaders, who believed that the site of the massacre should be left uninhabited. The center of the village was renamed Givat Shaul Bet. As Jerusalem expanded, the land of Deir Yassin became part of the city and is now known simply as the area between Givat Shaul and the settlement of Har Nof on the western slopes of the mountain.

The massacre of Palestinians at Deir Yassin is one of the most significant events in 20th-century Palestinian and Israeli history. This is not because of its size or its brutality, but because it stands as the starkest early warning of a calculated depopulation of over 400 Arab villages and cities and the expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinian inhabitants to make room for survivors of the Holocaust and other Jews from the rest of the world. "

So tell me .. my QUESTION .. WHERE is room for this other gathering, the 2nd gathering which is for Israel's GOOD to APPARENTLY take place BEFORE Christ returns .. which thing is linked with this so called Gog & Magog ALSO attacking BEFORE Christ returns?

The return of Jews to Israel which culminated in the formation of the nation-state of Israel was not really a gathering of the Jews by God. They came to Israel under the banner of secular Zionism, and deliberately excluded any mention of the true Messiah of Israel. However, this did into God's eternal plans and purposes, since Israel must exist as a nation (without Christ) in order to be deceived by the Antichrist.

With the Second Coming of Christ all Jews from around the world will be gathered to the land of Israel under God's direction and command.  The battle of God and Magog will only occur after the Millennium.

Hello Serving

I think it's very important to know who Israel is and who returned in 48

Remember the good and the bad figs returned,ie,the bad being those who call themselves Jew's but are not

Also remember only Judah returned

Hi N2thelight,

For all intents and purposes Judah is called Israel just as you and I are calling them Israel right now UNLESS God is being specific .. God uses the same principle and for obvious reasons since Israel of the 10 northern tribes are still scattered and won't be REUNITED with their brethren until AFTER Christ returns with His resurrected saints and they all become ONE stick (rod) in the Lords hand in that day they ALL come UP out of the land and journey by their own means to the land of Israel.

The good & bad figs were chosen generationally .. today's choosing is slightly different since it is POST Christ and just ONE generations worth, it has taken on another dimension altogether compared to past sorting of good/bad figs because the rejection of Christ is ALL their (Israel's) common crime/trait SINCE Roman times, as we still see today (nationally speaking).

If you notice the prophesies wording in the OP, they are ALL of them rebellious (to Christ) but a 1/3 will be chosen AND then cleansed (this group will be the good figs of THAT generation of non Christ believers) and also saved when Christ touches down AFTER Armageddon (AFTER destroying the worlds armies in Megiddo) .. some short time after that, ALL of Israel from past & present (out of their graves but still FLESH) will be summoned and TAUGHT by the Lord in the LAND that was PROMISED to the father's, that is, the greatly expanded and restored kingdom of Israel where the borders of that HUGE & coming kingdom area God spoke about to Abraham which has NEVER been fulfilled in history .. but it will be during the millennium for the first time in history .. and that gathering is called the 2nd gathering which is AFTER Christ returns with His resurrected saints who will RULE over those flesh Israelites right at the start of the Millennium.

ALL good figs were chosen from a NON Christ believing group .. but ALL of that group WILL learn of Christ and worship Him during the millennium where it was said by the prophets, "And I WILL be THEIR God, and THEY shall be MY people"

I don't know that I agree with the overall theme you are laying out.  I really haven't had enough time to think about it to form much of an opinion though.

Hi Refined, that's ok, but now this has come to your attention, seek it out whenever you read, you will start to notice it more and more now if you read your Old Testament often enough and read it by and for yourself.

One thing I do know is this, the modern nation-state of Israel is definitely not the apple of God's eye.  A little research into the symbol used to represent it, the misnamed star of "David," really paints the picture for the what they stand for.  They are as secular and antiChrist as most countries out there, including the United States of America.  The whole world lies in the evil one, and the nation-state of Israel is no exception.

Yes ALL nations serve the "King of Babylon" today, yes.

Quote

Modern Israel could cease to exist as she currently does and it wouldn't make a drop in the bucket of a difference regarding biblical prophecy.  Gods plans would roll on just the same, without a hindrance at all.  That's because most prophecy people associate with this modern state is misplaced.

I disagree, God has His own plan for Israel, even today's Israel, and Israel WILL be saved IN THE END.

Quote

Modern Israel, as with any nation, is in dire need of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The whole purpose of the bloodline from Abraham to David, from David to Josiah (Babylon), and from Jechoniah To Jesus (Christ) is a pure bloodline that culminated in Christ.  Once the Christ had come, the son of God in the flesh, the bloodline had served its purpose.  It is cool to be able to say you share similar bloodline as Paul, James, and our Savior, Jesus.  But it doesn't make a hill of beans difference if you haven't been born again.  And it surely doesn't make you better than any brother or sister in Christ to be so.

Who cares what general background people's bloodlines are?

God does .. God has an election for that group which is NOT the same election as OUR election .. God is working a work with that WHOLE group of past & present Israel whereby a REMNANT of EVERY generation have and will be shown mercy and WILL learn of Christ for to receive His Holy Spirit .. for ONLY if one has THAT "N.Testament" Holy Spirit of Christ WITHIN him/her can they be quickened and saved as Romans declares .. because it is THAT particular SPIRIT which is USED to quicken us .. never forget, GOD has blinded Israel UNTIL the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled.

Quote

The gospel is open to all.  Every nation tribe and tongue.  No one of any bloodline who rejected the Gospel will be saved.  All people from any bloodline who do live the Gospel will be saved.

Only those Israelites since Roman times til today have rejected Christ, the other past generations have not known Him YET and do not suffer that same guilt .. nevertheless, prophecies clearly show a 1/3 of those Christ rejecters of TODAY will be SAVED by Christ and saved AFTER Christ gathered His "Christian" saints.

These Israelites will NOT be SPIRIT like Christ's 2nd coming saints, it is an altogether different GATHERING going on here .. when you read your OT from now on, keep that in the back of your mind and you will begin to see it too .. the churches have NOT taught this thing hence it seeming "alien", but depend on NO MAN to do YOUR work for you, read for yourself and you will see it too.

Quote

Why do I say all this?  I think the attention given to modern Israel from Christian leadership is distracting from the purity of the gospel and misleading to those within and outside of the church of Jesus Christ.

Modern Israel happens to be located on a piece of ground that has deep biblical history.  Well, Woohoo... That can change...

The Christian "leadership" you mean is mainstream .. I am not mainstream .. yet even though rebellious Israel of today is DESOLATE, spiritually speaking, even God has decreed an election from amongst them for a REMNANT to be saved too .. it is NOT Israel of today that is blessed, but Israel of the MILLENNIUM who will be blessed .. exactly as the OP scriptures reveal .. I am not disillusioned as to WHAT Israel of today is .. spiritually speaking.

Travis

Agreed-ish, God was behind it, nothing happens without God's go ahead .. and God uses whatsoever "agents" He uses be they good or bad to bring about His plan in the world as example after example in the scriptures attest (not just in prophecies that is) as I'm sure you know.

So looking closer at this below wording and it should stand out a little more now for others to see :

Zephaniah 2:1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

So for other readers sake .. we see that God indeed decreed it, and God LET them gather THEMSELVES .. and even though one of the most wicked families in the history of planet earth was behind the planning to get Israel as a nation state once more, it was still God who gave the command to Gather THEMSELVES together .. and since evil men were behind the gathering, and for evil intent too mind you, well then, how much sorer their punishments will be !!

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
