Not the hearers, but the doers of the word ?

God has commanded us to go out and preach the word of God, the Holy word of a Holy God, and we are to not ,be just,

 hearers of the words , but the doers,  we are to bring the good news, and to be in line with Gods will, and follow the instructions set forth to His followers,  we are to be in the world , but not of the world , we are to preach and be ready in and out of season, ready to give the word for what we believe and why we believe,  we are not waved by emotions and feelings , but to be guided by the holy spirit , and to be in spirit and in truth ,

2 Timothy 3:16   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
 2 Timothy 4:2   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

  2 Timothy 4:3   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

  2 Timothy 4:4   And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

  2 Timothy 4:5   But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

we are not to just hear the word, we are to hold to the truth given to us, and to follow the ways of Jesus

and to be loving and compassionate, towards one, another, but if we rebuke, and correct another, it is done in kindness , and not judgment , so to save them as pulling them out of the fire, we are not to be swayed by other doctrines and man made traditions, but to follow only the word of God, any thing else, is a abomination, and so this is what God has told us in the bible, and for the word is complete and Holy , that we should be Holy, for the chastening is bitter, but in the end it is  to save, and to learn of the God we serve,

 for we cannot come to God in any other way , but in spirit and in truth , and not bearing false witness of another,

 for every word and thought  is accounted, if it be to righteousness, or to judgment, ,

 we do not drink milk any more, we need the solid word of God,

I have noticed that many Christians today are saying they are Christian, and go to church , and through the motions, of what they believe in there minds that they should be doing, and yet most do not open their bibles, nor do they set time, alone, or quiet time, to study or pray, and depend on God to do all the work, and be there and to take care of there needs, and some, out side ideas that you can pray it , and get it attitude, but that goes with another topic, but those that want God to be doing for them and to meet there needs but yet, never understanding and coming to the foot of the cross, is like saying you are on a basket Ball team, and for practice, you are practicing your golf swing?

 I think the mind of Christians  and or believers  need to get their priorities in line, to see who they are worshiping , and why ?

 I.E. we cannot speak the language  if we do not know the meaning, there is to many not understanding that the bible is one of the most important tools  that we have and by the word of God , we learn the laws the commandments and the teachings, of what we need to be doing,  we cannot continue to sit and listen it is time, to do , and to take the word of God in to the world and to be the tool in what ever you do , to shed the light of the word to others

 to many people are taking the talk and assuming whats in the bibles, and not reading it, and not applying it to there lives, and so I made this topic to address just that,  for the day is coming , that we will  and may not have a choice, and our time, has come, ?

 we need to be seeking God, now , and getting right with God, so we can be right with others, following the law of God and instruction, is following the word .

that's a good one, retrobyter blessings to you ,

and I am glad to be able to respond, now to you , I was, tide up for a moment, if you know what I mean, and so let, us get to some, truth ? for many do not want to hear truth for it is a offense to those that walk in the spirit of the world and say that they are of the truth , so what is  this about lawlessness ?

 great that you brought this up, it is any one, even those that say they are believers and not follow the laws of God, and so it is said, when they replied, to the lord, did we not cast out demons, and do this and do that, in your name,  for these are the ones, that know that there is a God, and yet they have fallen very short, for they have done what they have pleased and not follow the commandments and the laws that govern our conduct, to obedience, and to be in the way of the lord, for many today are saying they are believers, but they only believe what they wish , and ring the bells, to show others that they are holy and forgiven

 but this is not to be boasted about, for there is Gods part, that has been accomplished and finished, and then there is our part, to follow and pray , and to follow every word of God, for nothing , is abolished, and so

' can we say we follow God if we are not following what God has told us, ? NO, absolutely not  !! but many appear to think they can just, make it what is in their minds, and so they fool them selves, and lawlessness is judged to our account also ,

and its not about pointing over there and over here., but to look in the mirror and to examine our lives, for we may be short, of the following we say that we do ,?

 this is a fact , and truth , any one can challenge this if they wish, but it is scripture and the word of God in the bible that we pick and choose, that is not following Gods plan for us,

this is given to the so  called believers, for they were awaiting also  and yet they  fell short, in the endurance of  being and seeking God, for they were not ready , and even did not take God seriously? fact and moral of the story , not all that says they are, ... is ?
