Let me think about what you have posted.

you said

"Moses and friends saw the God of Israel and were not harmed.
Jesus says that no man has seen the father except He that came from
Him.
So it seems to me that the Father that Jesus speaks of is not what that
the Nation of Israel interfaced with in the Old Testament.
Looking further:"

I'm thinking it is but we just misinterpret the meaning in Exodus.

Keep in mind when we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive a new spirit from him, we are born again.

Let me think about this

I now understand why I needed to think for a minute.....

I thought you were CLOSEST ONE posting again and I couldn't understand why he and I all of a sudden had similar views

It seems to me to be saying that Jesus was what the Nation of Israel
interfaced with in the Old Testament days. Jesus in this form was with
the Father from the beginning.
It seems to me that the people of the Old Testament days were not aware
of the Father except for what they saw through the Jesus in the form he
existed in before he became flesh.
Further:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Phil 2:5-11Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in
fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted
him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name
of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It appears to me that Jesus as the word was that which the Father
worked through to manifest Himself to the people of the Old Testament
times. Jesus did not regard himself to want to be the equal to the
Father so He took the form of a human to further the works of the
Father on earth.
Jesus was deity by being in the form of God, but it was the Father that
did the work through Him when he was the Word. It appears that the only
thing that has changed is Jesus is now flesh working the same way only
as a man. The Father exercises His will through Jesus, now in the
fleshly body.
`~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
John 14:10-11 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself:
but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that
I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the
very works' sake.
KJV
John 17:20-26 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which
shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as
thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in
us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory
which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as
we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in
one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved
them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou
hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory,
which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of
the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I
have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I
have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love
wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems to me that Jesus just extended the conduit from Him to us for
the Father to do His work through Jesus to us so we could know the
Father as the Father knows us. Thus we now can do the work of the
Father. I believe this is the path and workings of the Holy Spirit
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
1 Cor 15:20-28 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man
came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so
in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to
God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies
under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he
hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are
put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all
things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then
shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all.
KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jesus, before His ascension told the Apostles that all power and
authority had been given to Him. After he has subdued everything Jesus
will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to
Him........ The Father.
I don't see the Son always being equal with the Father, either when He
was the word nor in the flesh. He will also be subject to the Father
after He does the job of bringing the kingdom into it's full power over
all and giving it to the Father.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Cor 8:4-6 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are
offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the
world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be
that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods
many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of
whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
are all things, and we by him.
KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But to us, there is but one God, The Father of whom all things
came from......
And one Lord, Jesus whom we call the Christ, through which all things
came including us.
And we have the Holy Spirit which was sent to us from the Father at the
request of Jesus.
Interestingly, all three are one in thought, one in purpose, and one in
action. We can't interface with the Father without being indwelt by
the Holy Spirit, and we can't have the Holy Spirit without the
sacrifice and request of Jesus, and we couldn't have had Jesus without
the Father asking Him to do what he has done for us.
You have to have all three or none. And thus they are one.
You and other one do not have similar views.
I and other one have come to understand the truth, that the God of Moses and Abraham left everything to be Jesus Christ, and to reveal the Heavenly Father to us .
The Heavenly Father was waiting for the CHRIST to come , so the Christ can make him known to us.
The Heavenly Father has remained and will remain all the time in Heaven .
Read John chapter one very carefully.
Read John chapter one very carefully.
In regards to the Heavenly Father waiting for the Christ, Jesus has been identified as both the Son and the Christ/ Messiah so I look at the following;
Joh_5:23  so that everyone may honor the Son as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
Joh_5:36  "But I have a greater testimony than John's, because the actions that the Father has given me to complete—the very actions that I am doing—testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.
Joh_5:37  Moreover, the Father who sent me has himself testified on my behalf. You have never heard his voice or seen what he looks like,
Joh_6:44  No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him to life on the last day.
Joh_6:57  Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will also live because of me.
Joh_8:18  I am testifying about myself, and the Father who sent me is testifying about me."
Joh_8:42  Jesus told them, "If God were your Father, you would have loved me, because I came from God and am here. I have not come on my own accord, but he sent me
Joh_10:36  how can you say to the one whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?
Joh_12:49  because I have not spoken on my own authority. Instead, the Father who sent me has himself commanded me what to say and how to speak.
Joh_14:24  The one who does not love me does not keep my words. The words that you're hearing me say are not mine, but come from the Father who sent me
Joh_17:21  so that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me
Joh_17:25  "Righteous Father, the world has never known you. Yet I have known you, and these men have known that you sent me.
Joh_20:21  Jesus told them again, "Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."
 1Jn_4:14  We have seen for ourselves and can testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
To me these verses indicate that the Father was not waiting for the Son ....He sent Him
Mat_1:18  Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah happened in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they lived together she was discovered to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
Mat_16:16  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!
Mat_16:20  Then he strictly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah
Luk_4:41  Even demons came out of many people, screaming, "You are the Son of God!" But Jesus rebuked them and ordered them not to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah
The Son and the Messiah are one and the same.The Son is who he is (in the trinity) The Messiah is what he does.
 from the lips of Jesus Christ......
Joh_10:30  I and the Father are one."
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit together are God.....are one. God cannot leave everything to become the Son because "God" consists of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
With the above in mind, I'm having a hard time understanding how God left everything to become the Son.
The Son is that part of the trinity of God that interacts with the physical and when the time was right the Father sent him into the world through The Holy Spirit because the Son is the only part of God that interacts with the physical.
In doing this the trinity, how God functions and how we are made in the image of God, is fully revealed. All three have been seen in the past but the presence of the Holy Spirit permanently indwelling us and the Messiah bringing all men into the family of God is new. It's new because God had not yet fully revealed his plan of salvation in a way we were ready to understand. It was a revelation process that started in the garden, then Abraham, then the nation of Israel slowly but surely working to the incarnation (where all men are included) and beyond.
The father was not waiting for the Son, the Son/ Messiah was waiting for the Father.
Eph 2:12  At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from citizenship in Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise. You had no hope and were in the world without God.
Eph 2:13  But now, in union with the Messiah Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
Eph 3:4  By reading this, you will be able to grasp my understanding of the secret about the Messiah,
Eph 3:5  which in previous generations was not made known to human beings as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. This is that secret:
Eph 3:6  The gentiles are heirs-in-common, members-in-common of the body, and common participants in what was promised by the Messiah Jesus through the gospel.
Eph 3:7  I have become a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God's grace that was given me by the working of his power.
Eph 3:8  To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given so that I might proclaim to the gentiles the immeasurable wealth of the Messiah
Eph 3:9  and help everyone see how this secret that has been at work was hidden for ages by God, who created all things.
Eph 3:10  He did this so that now, through the church, the wisdom of God in all its variety might be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm
Eph 3:11  in keeping with the eternal purpose that God carried out through the Messiah Jesus our Lord,
It seems to me that you are saying that the God of Moses and the Heavenly Father are 2 separate beings.
I'm not sure if you are just not completely describing that relationship, if I'm misunderstanding you or if that is in fact what you are describing.
Could you explain it to me in a different way?
Hello Mike2, I read your post carefully, I think our definitions and consepts vary.
We look at the same thing from different platforms , even the translation you are qouting the scriptures from, which I don't mind.
But isolating words without the context can lead to who knows what.
I am going to rephrase my self, say the same thing , from a different approach.
The appointed time, everything must be in place every detail to be there for the manifestation of the born from above children, the heirs of the Heaven, the children with the life of the Heavenly Father in them.
But here is the distinction.
The life of God in them , but not on their own , not as we see in Adam, the first man who started with the life of God in him , and did not take too long before he found himself without the life of God in him, but with death in him.
So Adam the Son of God, but not for long,
soon God will loose Adam and Eve and will be left childest.
The Father in Heavens did not himself Created the world and the first man,
Read carefully John chapter one.
The Heavenly Father send someone who came from him,
that would mean that he also had the LIFE of God in him, and he is the one whom God his Father send to create everything and that includes the first man Adam.
When we say he send him to create everything, he must have equipped him with everything that he will need to complete what he asked him to do.
Of course he did not send him on his mission unprepared.
And he is the God who created Adam , he had the LIFE of God in him and that what he gave to Adam at the time of his creation the LIFE of God.
This is the first Adam who had the LIFE of God in him but not for long.
(We may say that from having been born (or come into existence),  with  the life, he was born unto death),
Soon he will be found with death in him.
And not only him but also Eve and ALL his descendants.
He pass death to everyone.
If you can comment , so we can see where we agree and where we do not, so we can go to the second Adam,  (eventually) , and see how The Heavenly Father got children with his LIFE in them, children of the Heavens, with a Heavenly inheritance and why the one who took the first Man from him,
this time he can not take no one of his children from him,
Even thought he can make them disobey God , not only the way the first man disobeyed him, but in many other different ways.
Peace
YCFnt
I was talking to closest friend earlier about how simply referring to "Jesus" can be confusing. I think this is a good example.
Jesus was not deity, Jesus was a body. The Son living inside the body was deity. We have to be clear when we refer to Jesus what aspect of him we are talking about... The Son?, the Messiah?, the body walking along the road?...
Having said that ...THE WORD (the Son) did not take on human form because ... " Jesus did not regard himself to want to be the equal to the Father" ....That's not what the text says and believing it to refer to the Father creates the confusion I have been trying to address.
 Php 2:5  Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6  who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,
Php 2:7  but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;
This is important for our discussion because in the trinity there is the Father , the Son, and the Holy Spirit . The Son is not the Father and is not the Holy Spirit TOGETHER they make up God. It is impossible for the Son to be equal to God.
He is that part of God that works in the physical. That's how I understand the verses from Philippians above.
The Son is in Christ Jesus.
I think we can be misled as well when we refer to Jesus having been in the physical in the past....he was not....It was the Son (the Word) that is manifesting in something in the physical in the way that the Father sees fit for His purposes at the time and not necessarily in human form.
That is why we hear and experience the Father through Jesus, that's why we come to the Father through Jesus, it is the Son dwelling within that makes that possible, not the body of Jesus. That is also how Moses spoke to God through the burning bush.
What kind of a bizarre concept is this? Perhaps you should study the Chalcedonian Creed, which is very helpful (other than calling Mary "the mother of God".
We have looked at many verses that indicate the Son does nothing without first "seeing" it from the Father.
What you are saying here is the same thing as those verses except in a different way.
You are saying that the Heavenly Father sent someone......I agree....He sent the Son.
You are saying that " he must have equipped him with everything that he will need to complete what he asked him to do.' .... I agree with that too, The Son cannot do anything without first seeing the Father do it...in this case the Father is giving him everything he needs to do it....IT COMES FROM THE FATHER to the Son.
The Son does the actual physical creating but it is the Father that shows the Son.
