John The Baptist. He spoke the truth and made the way for Jesus. He was just one of the most important.

The Holy Spirit wasn't mentioned.  Without Him we would have no inspired Scriptures, no One indwelling us or sealing us; no-one  to help us pray as we ought, to cry Daddy! within us, or to help us understand God's Word.  So while He is part of the Godhead, many people mean only the Father when they say God.

Otherwise I have to vote for John.  His books go a step farther in revealing Jesus' words and personal life.  He further defines Who Jesus is: the Creator Word incarnate and the I AM.  He also tells more about the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.  He demonstrates the man who was changed from wanting Jesus to rain fire and brimstone on the city that rejected him, to a man who spoke of love more than any other.

Then Paul.

Since God is mentioned in the title, that includes the Holy Spirit.

Moses, because he gave the World the Ten Commandments, the moral code that is the basis for the whole of Judeo-Christian civilisation.

Our eyes are to be fixed on Jesus for he is the only one who can redeem us. He is the one who died in our place and payed the penalty of death for us. There is no other name under all heaven for men to call upon to save them. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

So we just ignore all the other characters then?

Not my post but I like that answer the best, as all the characters are important, but only because of Jesus.  So I also could not pick a most important character, as they have no importance without Jesus.

But it was Paul who revealed the spiritual content of the Ten Commandments (after Christ showed us their true meaning) and called them the Law of Christ.

Remember Esther and God's Word to her - if she did not do what was needed, He would find another to do it, to deliver the Jews  ?

So far , most of those mentioned would fit that description - if they had not , God would have chosen another, as He is well able to.

But who is unique ?  Who was the only one God called out of the whole pagan world ? There was no one else who could take his place .....
