In thinking over my previous post I missed an important point. None of us are children of God by birth- you are not born into Gods family unless you are born again. We become his children by adoption.  No one should feel superior to another because we are a beliver- its not our doing its a gift of God--- we should think of ourselves as beggars showing other beggars where the bread is at

For the most part I am with wounded in this. These are good principals, but according to the Bible as only become children of God upon salvation. Now that doesn't nullify the rest of the points, because we all are made in the image of God, and God does love everyone-in fact God wants us to reach out to those who are lost so they can become children of God, and these principals can be used to do just that. But, that doesn't change the fact that wounded is right-we are not all children of God. I would say It would be nice if we treated the lost like we do our fellow Christians, but often we don't even treat our fellow Christians with the respect they deserve.

Again, I am not God, who has made it very clear that my little bitty part is to love in a large way.

BUT, I am really, really not wanting to argue over a post that is about not arguing...  Kind of defeats the point.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
