"Even the demons believe and tremble"

Yowm quoted RP who took this out of context- the entire verse is "You believe God is one, you do well, even the devils believe and they tremble"--- the inference is that just believing in 'A" god is no big thing because the devils believe in "A" god------ again this is a sad example of the RCC church not handling the word of God as it was meant to be handled----- its like using a violin as a hammer instead of to make music-- they just dont have the Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth

Many of these are essentials - deal-breakers.
How is that "Unity"??

as a side note- I work in a Non-Denominational Christian ministry  dealing with the homeless-- we have 4 services a day 30 days a month-- about 120 services a month- various churchs come into do the services---- maybe 40 or so different churchs- of all different denominations-- all preach the same message- Christ alone, faith alone--- that is true unity of the Spirit- All agree on the basics and there is no hierarchy dictating doctrine- it is the leading of the Holy Spirit that makes us one

This is one of the most ignorant things I have read so far.
It is by reading or hearing the word of God that brings MANY people to him.

They are not "indwelt' with the Holy Spirit - they are seeking the truth and find something in Scripture that touches them.

It's this sort of arrogance that turns people away from this sort of self-righteous Protestant proselytizing . . .

And I already gave you about a dozen essential differences right off the top of my head.
This is NOT unity - it's splintered mess brought on by spiritual pride.

Sin damages fellowship, not relationship. We will forever be connected by blood, and believers do not worry about hell or death. Why do you think there's so many martyr's.

That's NOT what the Word of God says:

Romans 11:22
“See, then, the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but God's kindness to you, provided you REMAIN  in his kindness; otherwise you to will be cut off.”

Paul is warning the faithful to REMAIN in God’s favor or they will lose their salvation.  How can they lose what they never had?

Hebrews 10:26-27
“If we sin deliberately AFTER  receiving KNOWLEDGE of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins but a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries.”

This is a clear warning that falling away from God will result in the loss of our salvation. The Greek ford for “knowledge” used here is NOT the usual word (oida). This is talking about a full, experiential knowledge (epignosei).  This verse is about CHRISTIANS who had an EPIGNOSIS of Christ and who can fall back into darkness and LOSE their salvation by their own doing.

2 Peter 2:20-22
For if they, having escaped the defilements of the world through the KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, again become entangled and overcome by them, their last condition is worse than their first.

For it would have been better for them not to have KNOWN the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment handed down to them.

Here, Peter illustrates that those who had a full, experiential knowledge (epignosei) of Christ – CHRISTIANS – who can fall back into darkness and LOSE  their salvation by their own doing.

2 Peter 3:17
Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.

Peter is warning the faithful not to fall back into sin and lawlessness or they will LOSE the salvation (secure position).

Again...How much must you obey to receive God's promise?

We must strive to be PERFECT., as Jesus commands (Matt. 5:48).

Jesus NEVER said, "Don't try because you don't have to. Don't be faithful because I am faith for for you.
Don't do the will of the Father and obey my commands because I've got you covered."

He said just the opposite.

This "Jesus" you've invented doesn't exist . . .

Wrong.
James was talking about the importance of WORKS and OBEDIENCE of faith.

Faith without works doesn't exist - any more than water without hydrogen.

Oh, so I guess you are Calling the Apostle Paul ignorant and self-righteous?

1 Corinthians 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
